383EER4001A Spring Expansion Tool Compatible with LG Washing Machine

Worked great on my LG front loader! Took a little muscle still but it stretched that spring enough to get it hooked on. I tried to use a couple needle nose pliers for an hour and cut my hand wide open stretching that spring! These pliers got both springs done in 2 minutes or less! Highly recommend them.

I had a front load washer seal to replace and these were highly recommended for this job. Absolutely worth the money!

Save your sanity (and your fingers) and buy one of these, especially for reattaching the door boot with a spring. Since I removed it easily enough without a tool, I figured I could easily stretch it by hand to reattach (and saw repairs video doing it by hand). Well, I came close several times but eventually gave up after many, many failed efforts and my first blood blister from grabbing wire. This handy spring expansion tool allowed me to do it in less than 5 minutes. I did buy the upgraded model (black and yellow), which has a wider opening and seemed to fit the hooks fine, based on previous reviewes. It worked great. Highly recommend--happy I have it now too in case I have to replace the drain pump or anything else again!

Love this product and it does extend to 5.83 inches. Now I can easily remove and install the spring of my washer. This is very durable because I tried bending it to add more length and it seams that it is made of high quality material because It didn’t break. I think they placed some glue under the rubber handle to prevent it from coming off. The exposed metal isn’t smooth but still functional. The tip that holds the spring isn’t that deep but not a big issue to me. All I have to do is to file the groove at the tip so that it will hold the spring. I wish they can make a plier similar to this but extends to something like 7.0 inches. I think it would be better. Overall if I need another one of this, I would definitely get this again.

I had to investigate a strange noise in my LG TROMM washing machine. Part of the disassembly calls for removing the door gasket to be able to remove the front panel. The You Tube videos show this tool, but I didn't have one. It wasn't necessary to remove the spring-controlled gasket clamp. However, when reassembling the washer, the clamp had to be reinstalled to complete the door water seal. I had my SiL helping me. We spent over 1/2 hour trying to install the clamp without this tool. There are many of these tools available ranging for $83 from the LG website down to $9 on Amazon. I chose this one about $14 because I wasn't convince we were successful installing the clamp. It arrived 2-days later and I uninstalled the clamp, checked the gasket installation (seating the gasket is difficult) and reinstalled the clamp in under 10 minutes using this tool. Worth every dime!

You should have this tool,..it will save time ,frustrating moments and will get the job faster...also good for changing the rubber front gasket out .. fast and easy...watch YouTube.

Buy this if you are replacing the door seal on your front load washer. It pays for itself in one use for sure.

Bought for reinstalling the metal ring on a Bosch washing machine. It's incredibly frustrating to do without this tool, unless you make one from stuff you have at home. I was swearing for 1/2 hour and then bought these pliers. It took 30 seconds to install the ring perfectly. Perfect of you want to remove the mouldy gasket to clean it.
