My 5 year old son, LOVES this toy! He bought this with his allowance and I bought Spitz for my 3 year old daughter. Had lots of fun squirting each other. Pee-prank mode is hilarious. We just got it, so not sure about durability, but we are being careful as it seems it may be delicate. This Prehistoric Pet actually seems to go by the name SPRAYden (as on the box and Mattel website) unlike "Spiney" as stated on the Amazon product description. Overall, I would say it is good value because it has good functionality and size for younger kids yet doesn't hit the $20 mark. I bought Cruncher for my son and it's more sophisticated, but costly in comparison to this smaller toy (which he seems to be enjoying more).

I bought this for a Christmas present for one of my nephews. I bought quite a bit of time before Christmas, so it didn't fall within Amazon's return policy. What I didn't do was check the squirting function upon receipt as the toys themselves looked "ok" (i.e. not damaged). However, disappointment settled in when upon opening, the toys were tested with water and although the spitting function worked, the "peeing" function did not. And, of course, that is what stands this toy apart. Now I have to tell you this was one of those items that was bought from a third party seller, but delivered through Amazon. When it didn't work as described, I *carefully* checked the appearance of the toy against the picture. The one I received appeared to be a knock-off, not the real thing. Since the one I received was about half the price of the current one, I guess you really do get what you pay for. Half the price, half the functionality (but twice the disappointment on the child's face). As I said, test immediately upon arrival to prevent disappointment with your gift recipient.

Bought these as presents for our 2 year old when he started potty training. We liked them more than he did. They are cute and the Peking thing is cute but the buttons and arm pulling require more talent than our 2 year old had.

These little characters are super and my son has had great fun playing with this one and Spitz. It's worth shopping around - this seller was the best price around and some were 2 1/2 times what I paid here.

Es war ein Weihnachtsgeschenk für unseren 5-jährigen Sohn. Er hatte schon ein Wasserspuckendes Dino von Mattel, da ging aber die Wasserspritzfunktion kaputt. Der Wunsch war ein Dino, der Wasser spuckt. Dieser spuckt Wasser und macht eine Pfütze (totale Begeisterung beim Kind), wenn man die Pfoten nach unten drückt. Hinten kann man den kleinen Hebel verstellen so kann man wählen ob spuken oder Pfütze. Geräusche macht er auch, kann man aber nicht ausschalten, hört von alleine auf, wenn man ihn nicht mehr betätigt. Wir sind zufrieden, das Kind glücklich, klare Kaufempfehlung.

Dieser kleine, wasserspritzende Dino hat unserem Sohn anfangs viel Spaß gemacht. Allerdings verpufft die Wirkung nach wenigen Tagen. Dann, wenn die ganze Familie schon mal mit einem Wasserstrahl überrascht wurde, hört das Überraschungsmoment auf. Der Dino steht dann, zumindest übergangsweise, nur im Regal. Leider bietet der Dino zu wenig Abwechslung. Er macht nur wenige verschiedene Geräusche. Da sind andere Dinos schon abwechlungsreicher. Dennoch ist dieser Dino für den Preis schon in Ordnung. Und da er auch solide verarbeitet ist, gibt's von mir nur einen Punkt Abzug.

just mistakenly slagged off his cousin in a previous review who is also overpriced chinese junk, but this one is even more extorsionately priced. i will buy the complete set and t-shirt just to upset myself kids love it though

Mein Kind drei Jahre hat sich sehr über seinen Dino gefreut. Er spukt und macht eine kleine Pfütze. Den größten Spaß hat er daran, wenn der Dino überraschend die Leute anspukt. Er gibt Geräusche von sich. Allerdings nervt das mit der Zeit, weil es keinen Aus-Knopf gibt.
