How many games can be saved?

Not sure exactly “how many” as save data varies from game to game. I have 5 large RPG’s, 6 fighting games with lots of unlockables, each with 3 or more saves each. So it can at least hold that much. Hope that helps.

Does it work "out of the box" on original PS1 or is formatting required?

I do not recall needing to format the memory card but do know that it only works on PS1 games on a PS2 platform

Does it work on the PS2?

I used it play Rainbow Six 1 on the PS2 and it worked fine.

Does it work with ps2 fat or just ps2 slim

I have a ps2 slim so I know that it works on that even though it has some age to it.
