It's amazing to read about these crazy good athletes or 200+ IQ scientists who just seem to have been born for a specific sport or massive insightful discovery. Reading this book, it sounds like Nadal had no outside push to play tennis: he was completely self-motivated. He dealt with It's just incredible to think about someone so excited about what he does could motivate himself to achieve what Rafael Nadal has. The author does not just focus on Nadal's developing career, but also writes about his outstanding character that has been formed throughout his personal life. He and his family maintain a foundation dedicated to "giving back to the youth", giving them chances that they would not otherwise have to excel in their interests.The book is well-written, concise, factual, and a good read. The author did some extensive research, and I did not notice any grammatical errors. I enjoyed the book!

As a somewhat new tennis fan, I still have a lot to learn. I can spend hours on end watching the game either at a live match or on television. One of the things that has enthralled me lately is learning about some of the tennis greats over the years. I simply loved this biography of Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal. It was great to learn about his rise to fame and success in the game as well as to learn some tidbits about his personal life and the various things that he does to help others. A great read.

Rafa is the most inspirational tennis player of day, but this book falls woefully short of being inspirationally written. It's basically a biography of wins/losses for each year. Just not much else.
