Beautiful toy and well made
I bought this for my almost two year old daughter and she LOVES it! She is big into butterflies right now and this has three beautifully colored butterflies that spin around the flower when she pushes it. It also makes a nice clinking sound as it goes. When I first opened it, I was a little surprised because it is smaller than I thought it would be. I was thinking of the big clunky plastic push toys and this is much smaller. I actually like the smaller size as it will take up less space, which with a bunch of kid toys that is a good thing! I do wish the handle was a little bit longer as my daughter is really tall but she doesn't seem to mind (it would also help if she would hold the handle and not the area between the two green sections). As soon as I showed her this toy she marched around the house for a long time with it. Being a toddler she wasn't super gentle either but this toy just like or other Hape toy, is very well built and seems to be up to the challenge. It was also easy to assemble, just two sections that screw together. Overall I am very happy with my purchase! I wish I had bought it sooner as she has so much fun with it and it really is a beautiful toy.

Well made and adorable!
This is a HUGE hit with my 1 year old niece. It took her a little bit to figure out how to push it around, and now she happily does it for an hour or so. And the noise it makes is soft, so it's not irritating. And it's well-made and adorable!

HAPE dancing butterflies push/pull toy
All of my kids (even those much beyond the intended age range) really like this toy. It is a bit smaller than I expected, but I suppose the right size for a young walker. Though my baby isn't quite walking yet, he still plays with it quite a bit on the floor while sitting & even crawling. The spinning butterflies really get his attention. It has really nice colors and seems to be well made.

beautiful and fun, but less sturdy than I hoped
Please be aware that I only really got to see this product after it was opened by the little girl I bought it for and can't speak to it's long term durability. I love Hape toys and really love the bright colors and simple design of this push and pull. I was just a little worried that the stick, which comes in two pieces and screws together might not be sturdy enough to last a long time. However, I used to work in a toy store where similar Hape toys were sold and they seem to stand up pretty well to the frequent use they got from our little customers.

Happy!
My three-year-old loves push toys and even more than that she loves butterfly so this was the perfect Christmas gift for her. It comes very well packaged and it's very well made. It's just a very cute toy and I'm so happy I bought it.

Beautiful Wood Toy
I purchased this for my 1-year old niece and she was delighted with the moving parts. It is a bit smaller than I imagined, but still wonderfully done. My sister-in-law was pleased that the toy was all-wood and safe for the little one. I would recommend this to others and I will look for this brand again when purchasing other children's toys.

Cute and inexpensive toy!
Paid about $10 for this one. Works well, our 13 month old isn't coordinated enough to use it but she plays with the butterfly part of it. Our 5 year old uses it. It is really made for a younger toddler as the stick is a little short for our 5 year old. The butterfly wings really do flap, and that impresses our 5 year old. I love that it was designed for a younger toddler making it manageable for her to use when she is able to.

Perhaps not for cautious recently walking children
Lovely little toy, well made, works well on carpet and wood floors, and painted with bright beautiful colours. But my 15 month old just doesn't understand how to use it yet. I debated between this and the classic Fisher Price popcorn popper. They were roughly the same price, and I LOVE Hape toys, so thought I'd give it a try for a Christmas present for her. She has only recently begun walking, and is still very cautious about taking steps on her own. I was hoping this would encourage her, but she just doesn't understand how to get it going. You do need a bit of a speed in order to get the butterflies spinning, and she's just not there yet. Conversely, she got right into the popcorn popper when we played with it in the store. I think the difference is that the Fisher Price toy has a handle to hold with both hands out squarely in front of themselves, which is easier for babies who aren't feeling so confident with their steps. The Butterflies toy requires that they grip with one hand, and not necessarily squarely in front of them. It's something to think about if you have a cautious child like I do. I'll update this if and when she starts using it more. She's only had it two days! I'm hoping we don't have to sell this and get the Fisher Price toy.
