Useful product in reusable form.
My son had the LunchBots Small Protein Packer for his snacks at school. It’s great! But it’s also $20 for a tiny little container. I really liked the concept of that and went on the hunt for something more cost effective for myself to make pre packed grab and go snack/meals. I didn’t want plastic gussets or anything that was going to be difficult to clean or attract mold over time. I found this product as an alternative but I was a little weary based on reviews. It was almost half the price of the LunchBots so I decided to give it a go and ordered two. It came quickly and I was surprised at how much I absolutely LOVE this little stainless box! It’s bigger than the LunchBot and the lid definitely doesn’t snap on quite as tight but I’m not playing football with it… so for the quality and price, it is a steal in my eyes. If you are using this as a standalone, I would probably toss a rubber band around it just to be safe. I put nuts and fruit/veggies and maybe cheese or crackers and it has served me really well so far. It is NOT however, intended to hold soups or leaky items. I consider it more as a snack box and not a meal prep Tupperware. Overall, I am super pleased and ordered two more the same week.

I love these
I bought 3 different styles of this brand and have been very happy with them. Great value, great quality. Years later and they still don't show signs of rust (i always dishwasher wash them), still close snuggly, compact enough to fit my kids school snacks in their lunchboxes. They are perfect!

Solid Alternative to More Expensive Brands
The Bits Kits bento boxes are solidly made, do not rust, and stop the use of Ziploc bags and other single-use plastic garbage. I've used products from LunchBots for 16 years, but they have gotten very expensive. The Bits Kits Stainless Steel Bento Box Lunch ($11.69) was nearly half the price of the LunchBots ($18.89) for a similar product. The Bits Kits lids don't feel like they snap on as tightly as LunchBots, but they are fine for things like sandwiches, carrots, apple slices, chips, etc. The size is perfect for a sandwich with any bread type, they clean up easy with soap and water, and will last until my kids are out of school. Would definitely buy again.

Doesn't have full seal between compartments - leads to all the food mixing a bit
Love the material and the fact that we can throw it in the dishwasher is great. The problem I have with this product is that the dividers do not have a full seal between each compartment. So if you have anything even remotely wet (like yogurt) it ends up going through the small spaces at the bottom and bleeding into the compartments next to it. These small spaces also are prone to getting tiny bits of food stuck in them. We do use it often, but I wouldn't buy this product again and instead look for one that has a full seal between compartments.

We used it all year
This year she wanted pasta almost every day, so I had to be careful of the sauce, but she loved cute lunches and was more willing to eat real food instead of packaged snacks. Don’t just throw it in a bag, the lid will come off. It fits perfectly into a Thermos lunchbox with a zipper. Or part of the year we tied it in a cloth wrap. Rubber bands would also work if there is nothing drippy. The sections don’t keep liquids contained, which is why we use the little containers for sauce, ranch, or Nutella. Washes well in the dishwasher, but if you leave it submerged in water for several days, you run the risk of rust spots on the section seams, but not as sensitive as canning jar lids. Overall, it’s been a good year, and we plan to use it again next year.

Not pleased
Disappointed on pretty much every level. I'm willing to pay more for good stainless steel containers. But this one is less durable and also heavier than others I've had. Definitely overpriced for the quality. Lid got dented almost immediately (maybe arrived dented?), making it hard for my 7 year old to open and close it appropriately, and also causing lid to pop off easily in his lunchbox. Definitely NOT leakproof. That would be ok since there are plenty of things that don't need a leakproof container, but you can't even use this to hold both dry stuff (like crackers) and fresh stuff (like cucumbers, apple slices, etc.) -- the moisture from the veg/fruit will make the dry stuff soggy, and crumbs from crackers get onto the veg/fruits! You could use for 4 different dry things or 4 different fruit/veg, but it doesn't work to put some of each. I'm trying to think of a use for it so I don't just throw it out, waste my money, or add to the landfill. Maybe my kid could use if for sorting small lego pieces?

Seems to be holding up well. Good size and easy to use.

Chemical free stainless steel container
This has been perfect for my son's school lunch. I like the various size compartments and the lid is easy enough for him to remove. I love the chemical free stainless steel container.

Update: It has been almost a year and hundreds of washes through the dishwasher. Unlike the other expensive lunchboxes I've bought for my kids over the year this one's still looking exactly as it did the day I bought it: no rust, no scratches or dents. The lid still fits as well as it did originally. The only negative I'll add having used it for many types of lunches is: 1. doesn't fit the standard little sealed containers very well. I finally found a Japanese one that fits but the lid on most of those won't allow it to slide into the compartment and as a result the lid won't close 2. The 2 larger compartments BARELY fit a half sandwich. If you get any kind of artisanal or other bread, chances are you'll have to cut your sandwich down to fit. 3. Certain types of foods seem to react with the metal (like apple slices) and take on a weird metallic flavor. I was not expecting that! Overall, I'm still happy I bought this lunchbox! ------------------------------------------------- I was almost put off by all the negative reviews but found a gently used one here and thought $19 was a small price to pay if it didn't work out. I'm happy to say that the product arrived looking brand new and shiny in the original packaging. It's extremely sturdy and the lid fits nice and snug but is still easy to remove. All the rivets and machined parts are finished very cleanly. You'll have to forgive the photos because I just finished eating my lunch. It packs a full sandwich plus 3 snacks no problem. I'd like to find a small leak proof container for liquids but I'm not paying $40 + for the steel ones I've seen online. What I really like is the modular design and the small footprint. It's also extremely sturdy. I can push down with all my weight on the lid and there is no flex. While I'm using it for my work lunch I'm sure it would be great for hiking and other activities where you'd want a sturdy food container. Overall, I'm really glad I went with my gut and bought this. If I see another "used" one for sale I will definitely be getting some more. I'm just not prepared to pay $80 or more for a new one!

Muy buenos para guardar cosas pequeñas resistentes y fácil de limpiar

Great little containers but emphasis on the LITTLE! They are tiny and there's a bit of a knack to opening and closing them but handy for very very small food items and seem good quality.

based on the mixed reviews I decided to take a gamble on this bento container, it was not really worth the money. When people write the lid doesn't fit they really meant it, the lid on mine will just fall right off if tipped in any way. It's also a bit on the small side for the price. This was orignally orderd as part of a secret santa gift but didn't arrive in time, I ended up getting a better container at a better price here in town. A large elastic aroung the container keeps the lid on so i'm not going to bother returning it but save yourself the hassel and don't get it...
