The book is fine, however I wonder why the title a New Approach, it has some novelty but based on a very old technique or approximation. It has its point in offering a method to solve external ballistics without going into deep differential equation solving, and doing it so, gives an approximate solution. The good side is that has large information on atmospheric influence on G functions. The programs are in QuickBasic, which is fine and provides help for someone looking for trying its own programs on the matter. It is not a book to learn basic ballistic or just to get insight on how bullets fly without some deep knowledge on math and physics. You have also be a bit familiar with The Sciacci Method, so, it helps if you are looking for your own way of making calculations, but in general my favourite books are McCoy's and Carlucci's, where you also have approximate methods plus 6 DOF's more popular ones in several ballistics software available for serious sport shooters. So maybe 4 stars if you know what you need or 2 stars for the general newcomer into the subject.

Probably a great read if you are into quantum physics...the entire book is comprised of mathematical equations. My mistake perhaps, but I "assumed" it would be simply a book ABOUT ballistics, which I have a personal interest in.I'm sure it would appeal to followers of Steven Hawking. Then again, if you have trouble getting to sleep at night, this book is for you!
