Mercusys 5-Ports 10/100/1,000 Mbps Desktop Switch MS105G Ethernet Network Hub | RJ45 | Plug and Play

Its was awesome really good product basically in my fiber router only 2 lan ports so i want more than 4 ports so that's why i purchase this product and install it its works really good i am using this product for 2 pc streaming so no lag no network issues or no speed problems all are good so go for it

I saw a lot of reviews that stated that network throughput is bad or that the switch is responsible for packet loss, etc. I've been using this switch for more than 3 months now and it performs like a dream. I am enclosing a test I did via iperf with the following connection PC -> jio_router -> Mercusys switch -> mikrotik router -> Mac Mini with cable lengths exceeding 30m. Despite having 2 more switches in the way, the actual throughput was 950mbps (see enclosed pic). I have 0 doubts on the quality of the product - would wholeheartedly recommend it.

It's just fantastic. Just plug and play. No drivers required. I have 150 Mbps speed and it's giving that without any loss. Just gets heated up a little bit.

I see that some reviews complaining here about this hub not giving over 100mbps, I have 140mbps act connection and Netgear router with Gigi port, and via this hub also I get 140mbps! Your router should have 1gb port and your cable plays major role, use good quality 1gb speed cable... I also had cat5 cable which is giving max 100mbps... So try using good cable and you will get over 100mbps speed .. it's tiny device and nice. You have to use CAT 5a or CAT-6 cable to get over 100mbps!

I almost didn't buy it because there is a review here that says it doesn't work as advertised. It's definitely not true and thank god I didn't believe it. Maybe it was some misconfiguration but this definitely works great for me. Great value for money!

This switch is good value if you want a multiple connection, say of first floor. Because it works seamlessly with almost every device. I have a second wifi router, A gaming PC and and an Xbox Series X console. But the problem is it doesn't share the speed equally. In my image the left is my PC and the right is my Xbox. If I turn off either one I get full speed on one. Network speed is inconsistent in terms of sharing but get the full speed of my plan.

This switch was very easy to setup. Came in a sleek packing and box. Just fit it and use it. Hassle free. Please note that this product doesn't include any ethernet (RJ-45) cable. I wish this was manufactured in India. Made in China product.

It is a good product to use as it lets you expand your rj45 lan network across your house/office, however, lack of information that one of the slots is used for inlet of your internet network cable thereby leaving you with just 4 slots to use it as an expander and not 5 as advertised. Moreover, it requires power connection unlike other such gadgets which operate on the power derived by the cables themselves. It’s on the costlier side as well but yes does the work properly as required and expected!

Comprei o Mercusys MS105G para ampliar minha rede cabeada e ele superou as expectativas. A instalação é muito fácil — é só conectar e usar, sem precisar configurar nada. As 5 portas Gigabit RJ45 entregam ótima velocidade, sem quedas nem perda de desempenho. O corpo é compacto e leve, perfeito para deixar na mesa ou escondido atrás do roteador. O material é de boa qualidade e não esquenta mesmo após várias horas de uso contínuo. Ideal para quem precisa conectar PCs, TVs, consoles ou câmeras com estabilidade e velocidade. Excelente custo-benefício! 💪

I have 3 switches like this one and love them. Priced right for 1Gbps

Très bon petit switch Ethernet signé Mercusys (TP-Link), que j’ai acheté pour organiser un peu mon réseau à la maison. Installé depuis une semaine, il fonctionne parfaitement. J’y ai branché mon PC fixe, un mini PC (NUC), et un boîtier Philips Hue — aucun souci à signaler. Le débit sur mon PC fixe reste identique à ce que j’avais en le branchant directement sur ma box : pas de perte de vitesse, pas de latence, tout fonctionne de façon fluide. C’est un vrai plug-and-play, il suffit de le brancher et tout est opérationnel en quelques secondes. Le design est plutôt sympa malgré un boîtier en plastique qui fait un peu "cheap" au toucher, mais franchement à ce prix-là (7,99 €), difficile de faire le difficile. Le rouge vif apporte une petite touche originale, ce qui change des boîtiers tout noirs ou gris habituels. Et surtout, le bloc d’alimentation est fourni et fonctionne parfaitement, ce qui est important à noter (ce n’est pas toujours le cas sur tous les modèles low-cost). Le produit est arrivé rapidement, bien emballé, et jusqu’à présent, aucun bug, aucune déconnexion ou chauffe suspecte. Il fait le job, tout simplement. En résumé : petit, léger, facile à installer, très abordable et parfaitement fonctionnel. Idéal pour un usage domestique ou de bureau léger. Pour 5 ports gigabit à ce prix-là, c’est un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Rien à redire !
