Can I sit on it? I have weak knees and need to sit down when waiting in lines, etc

Yes. Without issue. I'm a 300 lb fat kid. I sit on it regularly. Its going to take a lot more than my weight to damage this thing. Further, as a professional pilot I drag this thing everywhere I go. So far its held up far better than any other luggage I've ever owned. I can't say enough good things about this case. An excellent investment with no buyers remorse at all.

Does this case have dividers and foam or just foam?

Pelican cases come with a solid block of black foam in the main compartment that is subdivided into pre-cut little 1/2" cubes. You can lay out your own plan to determine which parts to cutaway in order to create your own custom packing. I have a Sony pro video recording camera, a closeup lens and spaces for an external mic, each resting in its own cutaway region and they are perfectly padded and protected. The case is exceptional, watertight, strong, very well made and it's a joy to roll when the need arises with a slide-up handle. It was a worthy investment and the 1510 is the largest TSA approved carry-on size It easily fits into the overhead airline compartments so, I never have to check my camera. I give it my top rating... and if the foam ever wears out or you want to use the same case for different collections of gear, you can buy extra replacement block inserts of the pre-cut black foam.The lid can be fitted with an optional 5, nylon-mesh, zippered bags that can hold small stuff like cables, tapes, parts, etc. and I would add this for sure.
