Dual voltage, but weak motor
I was happy with my Wahl shaver but after moving overseas I needed to switch to a dual voltage shaver. After a few months of use I've been very disappointed in the motor - it is too weak to trim my beard without painfully catching hairs! Granted I grow a thick, full beard, so maybe this isn't an issue for most buyers. On the plus side, compared to the Wahl the wet/dry operation means it's nice to be able to rinse off when done.---10/30/2015 UpdateStill using this shaver, so I boosted to four stars. Still can't use it without a plastic blade or else it painfully rips out hair, but trimming on the smallest attachment (1/8") is fine. I wish there was a 1/16th attachment though.

OK, but don't like the longest adapter to much
The unit works fine and all, but the biggest adapter does not cut my hair, and the next smaller one (12mm) is good for my sides, but cuts to short for the top - wish there was an intermediate length to fill that gap. Shame, because otherwise it's a good hair clipper.PROs:well build and solid constructiongood bladesnice smaller adaptors (3,6,9,12 mm)works while plugged into chargernice quiet operationCONs:somewhat weak battery- fully charged unit works for only maybe 30-40 minuteslongest adaptor is not very usefulwould benefit from some intermediate length adaptors (maybe 15mm and 20mm)

Great little grooming aid
Tired of scissors and a blade for trimming of body hair, I figure this was worth a go. Price was reasonable, it was cordless and rechargeable, and had the Panasonic name behind it, so why not. It arrived with a charge, but I decided to let it completely charge overnight before testing it out. The instructions were good, although I am not sure of the extent to which it can handle water exposure. Obviously a full dunking is not recommended, but I do not see any gaskets leading me to assume the water is best kept away from the battery portion. I have thick hair (that shows no signs of thinning or slowing down, alas -- I believe this is the origin of Bigfoot, a human that lived long enough to be covered in hair, but I digress as usual...). Anyway, this guy works great for trimming up sideburns for those of us scarred by the '70s, around the ears in between barber visits, the neck/back, and even the more, ah, see no light areas of the body. The included pieces help limit too much hair removal. I could go so far as to say the razor would work well enough to give a full cut to the head, although I am too wimpy to try it on myself. As for cleaning, as noted I am not sure it can handle complete exposure to water, so I just clean the removable cutter portion, blowing or brushing out the powered portion. Be sure to use the oil after cleaning and let it sit out to dry (alcohol works great in a pinch to dry it before oiling). The charge lasts for months, unless you are Bigfoot, I imagine. Only thing I wish had was a case or bag to hold all the bits, and a better sealing oil container. Otherwise, recommended.

Dead after 9 months
About 18 months ago I bought this rechargeable trimmer to buzz cut my own hair. Worked very well, no complaints. One day - it just stopped working. Recharged - and still dead. Since I already had the attachments to it, and since I couldn't figure out how to complain to Panasonic - I bought the exact same model 9 months ago as a replacement. Two days ago, after having been charged - it wouldn't turn on. It appears to charge, green light on, etc. But it just doesn't work. Dead. You can fool me once, and Panasonic fooled me twice on this. Not a 3rd time.

Sturdy and holds a charge well. Guards are fiddly.
I've had this for 3 months now and have used it a half-dozen times or so. This clipper replaced a Wahl rechargeable that stopped holding a charge after less than a year of normal use.Pros:- Nice size and shape. It's grippable and maneuverable. I'll never get a corded trimmer again.- The clipper/blade itself is very nice and doesn't get caught and "yank" like other clippers have. My son and I appreciate that.- Rechargeability (izzat a word?): A full charge will last through at least 2 complete haircuts. It also holds a charge very well and can sit for a month or more and still work.Cons:- The clip-on guards are a bit fiddly. The shorter length guards are double-ended (which could be a plus for some people; less stuff to deal with). They're labeled in black on a black background so it's not so easy to tell which end is which. They're also somewhat difficult to attach. The longer length guard is clear plastic and attaches in a totally different manner than the shorter guards. No idea why they did that. It clicks into different positions to give you different lengths. If you never use the shorter guards then that would work great. But switching back and forth between the different guards is a PITA. You do get somewhat used to it, though.Overall 4 stars (I'd give it 4 and 1/2 if Amazon let us give 1/2 stars).

Murphy's Law
I've had these clippers for a month now and have given three hair cuts with them and I have to say I am very disappointed and surprised at how many good reviews this product has gotten. One of the things I liked about the clippers is that there are 7 lengths total, with only 3 attachments (you use both sides). I found they were very easy to change in and out and I love that there is no cord! What I dislike about the product, are the actual attachments...yes, I did just say a couple of lines ago that I like them. What I like is that there are only 3 to keep up with. What I don't like is that you don't get an even hair cut with the longer length one (which goes from 1.2" to .8" I don't like that there are no sizes between .5 and .8 inches. I don't like how hard it is for me to remove the hair from the attachment and how easily it gets stuck in the blade. If you are going to use these clippers, it's best to do it on dry hair (which I am used to clipping wet hair). I wish I'd gotten something more reliable.
