Even kids who are glued to their electronic devices love it!
This board game is a great adaptation of the electronic game that has my son captivated. It's a great way for us, as his parents, to engage with him about something that is usually really interesting to him but not very interesting to us. It's also something that our son can and does play with his friends when they come over to visit. What a cool way to get the kids off the screens and engaged with each other!

Fun for my boys!
Super fun game. I play it with my 10 and 6 year old sons and they both enjoy it. Set up is quick and easy. I love the fact that it came with plastic bags to keep pieces organized. Would recommend for 8+

Great fun
Great game, my 8 year old son loved it. Lots of fun, and a great alternative to have kids involved in Minecraft but off screen.

Awesome features, slightly hard to learn
I recently bought this game for myself, and I love it! The mining blocks are bigger than I expected, and the experience counter is cool. At first the round scoring was super hard to understand, but after a few games I finally caught on. One complain would be it comes with NO extra blocks, so if you loose just one block the mining block is incomplete. Also the game takes up WAY more room than I expected, and so far I've only been able to play with TWO players, so four players I expect would take a LOT of room. I saw that they came out with a Farmers Market expansion, and I think that a Nether and End expansion would be awesome. Another thing I really like is that it comes with four character skins, but also includes four blank skin cards to create your own. I noticed that on some of my wood blocks the paint was lightly put on, making the blocks have bare spots with no paint. I've only played with two players, so I'm excited to try with three or four. 11 yr old

Pleasantly surprised!
Truth be told, I bought this game last Christmas because I was at a loss as to what to get my Minecraft-loving 8 yr old. I figured he would like it because it was Minecraft-themed, but it probably wouldn’t be that much fun for the rest of us. I am glad to be proven wrong! The game pieces, etc., do have the Minecraft theme, of course, but you don’t have to know anything about Minecraft to understand the game. And the it’s actually an interesting game! The game creators didn’t just rely on the fact that MC fans would like it simply because of the theme. The game moves along at a nice pace, with various choices and moves to make along the way. You definitely can get some strategy going, but my 6-year-old son plays with minimal strategy and has fun too. My 8 year old has more strategy than his younger brother, though he favorite part is fighting the mobs. ;) I like that it is simple enough for my (admittedly intelligent) 8 year old to have a strategy, but also varied and just complex enough for me to actually enjoy the game rather than just endure it for my kids’ sake. Lol. I’m impressed and would definitely recommend this game!

Great Game for the Minecraft lover
Bought this game for my grandson for Christmas. He is 11 years old and loves Minecraft. A little expensive but then again it is well made. And it’s nice to have a board game that the whole family can play.

Great, entertaining game for the family!
This game has turned out to be fantastic for our family. It was a birthday gift for our 8 year old son who loves Minecraft. Admittedly, it is more complex than most games out there today, but it’s worth learning to play. Definitely a quality game, and after one practice round and thorough read through of the rules, we all got the hang of it and now it’s a game night staple. My husband and I both enjoy the strategy of the game; our 8 year old is catching on to that layer of complexity, but even our 5 year old is still able to play along and fully comprehend the rules. He may not get the strategy part yet, but he’s able to play his turns independently and has fun. The designers did a really great job creating gameplay that closely mimics the video game itself. We ended up getting the Farmer’s Market expansion pack and it’s even more enjoyable. Highly recommend to those who are Minecraft fans, or those who love strategy games.
