As far as helping with a major acne issue, I never though that the ingredient ( without looking I'd say the active ingredient is benzoil peroxide ) in this stuff was that effective. When I was a child/teen/young adult I was fortunate enough that my mom ( finally ) took me to a dermatologist and I was given Retin A. (sp) This stuff will help dry out a pimple here and there, but for major acne issues, it's not very effective. If you're a girl and wear makeup, make sure that what you wear is both Non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic, and doesn't have a lot of oil in it. Oil and acne ( in my experience ) go hand in hand, and had I known that what I was wearing made my skin worse when I was younger I would have changed it. I'm 39 and still get an occasional pimple, but I ended up with some scars due to popping pimples, so girls research how and when to properly pop a pimple or remove a blackhead. Also look up something called Prid. If you can go to a dermatologist.

The product is a white cream, not the tan color I was expecting.
