very comfortable one year later
I own a pair of orthaheel slip ons, so I sort of knew what to expect. I was not disappointed. I have plantar fasciitis so just any shoe will not do. These were comfortable from the moment I put them on. They give the support needed, and my feet do not hurt when wearing them. I also like the way they look. I would definitely recommend these. If you have not owned this type of shoe before, wear them for short periods of time until you get used to them.I stopped wearing these for the winter, but started again as soon as the weather warmed up. I wore them all summer last year, and now they are still as comfortable as they can be. The plantar fasciitis has finally healed, but I won't stop using these shoes.

Ok, but not great.
There's a lot of extra room in front of my toes, and the ankle strap can't tighten enough, but it's okay. Also, the footbed has a few little rough spots that always make it feel like I have sand in the shoe. Since the arch support is good, I'll keep them, but feel like they are more of a $50.00 sandal.

Footbed Feels Great But Front Straps Are A Little Loose
I'm healing from a heel spur and tendinitis flare up, bought these to help with recovery. They are extremely comfortable for walking once you get used to the built up arch support. I do feel that the front straps are a little too loose even pulled all the way to the tightest fit possible. This is even on my injured foot which is a bit more swollen than normal. The strap that goes across the ankle could be a tad bit longer to keep from having to re-thread it through that pesky plastic loop that seems to slip down to the footbed when you pull the strap out to take the sandal off, every time you put the sandal back on. Other than those minor annoyances I would buy these again.

Straps too long
No, straps were too long when tightened to fit. If they had stretched any after wearing, the Velcro would not have connected. Had to return.

Extremely disappointed
Prior to purchasing this sandal, I bought a different style of orthaheel sandal in my normal size 8, and it fit just fine. So, when I purchased this style sandal I also bought my normal size 8. It was much too small! The strap around the heel was too small to allow my foot to slide all the way back in the shoe. In addition, the heel-well was extremely small. Combined, these two problems caused the shoe's arch to hit my foot in the wrong place, making the shoe extremely uncomfortable as well as much too short. I returned these shoes.I then purchased the same style in the next size. Because the sandals are only made in full sizes (no half-sizes) I purchased a size 9. This pair was much too large, with over an inch in front of my toes! Very disappointing! I was really looking forward to these sandals. Also, I feel that manufacturers who produces shoes that are advertised to customers as an alternative to orthotic inserts, should make the fit more accurate and provide a full range of sizes.

So Far very comfy
I have tried several Orthaheel products and was disappointed frequently. Styles other people raved about just did not work for me. This is the first Orthaheel rubber sandal Ihave tried.. That seems to still give the pronation and arch support without feeling as though there is a softball under my arch. I have several pairs of Fitflops and have found that I get pain in the side of my leg if I wear those constantly. When I put these on they are a very different concept of support but the difference is good. My solution may be to switch back and forth between the two brands. FYI: I did order a size 8 although I wear 81/2 or even 9 now in some shoes. These have the velcro so that made the size 8 fit very well. I WISH they would put a sole like this inside the Stacey Boot!I may give an update in a couple of weeks of wearing in the house. My feet seem to change like March weather. But for now, they feel quite good.

Fully Adjustable and Comfortable
After foot surgery, my doctor said I should wear sandals with a back strap. And his favorite brand is Vionic with orthaheel. I normally wear a 7 wide, but purchased an 8 wide, in case my foot was still swollen. That was a great strategy since they fit perfectly now, even on the foot that did not have the surgery. I bought these in the taupe and navy with pink trim. There is enough room to wear a white sports sock, since there are Velcro adjustable straps. And once the foot heals completely, and I don't have to wear a sock, I can adjust them a bit tighter if I want to. I hate anything tight on my feet, so appreciate the adjustable straps.

didn't keep the shoes
Can't write a review because I didn't keep them. They were a bit small and I was afraid the next size would be too large. I have other orthaheel shoes and I LOVE them.
