I love these pens! Pilot G2 pens are my favorite, but I super love the thickness of these for writing heavy and bold. They write very nicely. The thickness makes it look and feel very smooth. The pens are sturdy and good quality (as are all G2 pens), and are a good size.

I'm that guy who feels black is just too much but blue is just not dark enough, ergo, the in between dark blue or navy, as you please ink. For that reason and the fact that I have been a fan of bold Pilot G-2 pens for years, I made this particular purchase. It is difficult to tell in the pictures but I tried my best to show you the difference (from right to left) between the regular blue, the navy, and the black. I DO love the colour. However, it's obvious that this product is slightly defective, which is probably why it was much cheaper than the plain blue or the plain black. First of all, it writes more like a medium .07 Pilot rather than the 10 Bold, which is what I have always preferred. Secondly, the pen itself or maybe the ink cartridge inside seems to be just a bit out of alignment and stuck up inside a bit more than it should be. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that the pen itself does not come out as far as it does in the blue and black pens. This may be why it doesn't seem to write as boldly because not as much of the nib is exposed as it should be. I think the problem is with the ink and nib itself and not the casing as I did try switching it into one of the casings from my other pens and the issue still persisted. The writing also doesn't seem to be as smooth as with the others, almost like the ink is a bit dried up and old. I mean overall it does it's job and it writes, it just isn't as smooth or nice of an experience as I was expecting from a Pilot G-2, which is so disappointing because I really DO love the dark blue.

Smooth, effortless writing. Smears a bit (for left-handers), but less than most others. Lighweight and comfortable pen to hold. Price is reasonable.

I love this pen because it is smooth, no glitches no spots. It dries quickly on the paper. I used previously the 0.7 and 0.5, and today i choose to use the1.0 for bolder effect. 0.7 is finer as you can imagine. The 1.0 is bold and clean smooth lines. I use them all for drawing as well as writing to create density in the pictures. Nice pens.
