Only one flaw (spoiler: not the product)
This leash and harness set works well on my 9mo old kitten. The dog you see him attached to is actually the one that found this guy at 2wks old in our yard. Having 3 large dogs, this cat has grown up more canine than feline (hence his name Mogli haha!). Suffice it to say, he always wants to join the dogs outside but we live by a very busy street and were concerned with him being an indoor/outdoor cat. So this is where the leash comes into play. We haven’t done a collar before on him, let alone a harness and leash. This crafty fellow, like most cats, is very capable of contorting his body into the craziest positions, which made me naturally hesitant whether this would work. BUT, to my surprise, he hasn’t been able to get out of it to-date! Super simple construction and the leash clip is really cute (weird praise to give, but it’s a unique circular design which I haven’t seen before). I got this color because it was the one on sale and didn’t want to spend a lot on something I wasn’t sure would work out. The colors are vibrant and really nice…in retrospect it’s nice knowing that it makes him just a bit more visible. The leash is a bit on the shorter end. I think it’s a standard sized cat leash BUT doesn’t allow him to roam too much. He’s not a fan of having the harness put on (like most cats I presume), but he adjusted quickly to wearing it. I tightened it a little less than half way for his size so I feel like it’d comfortably fit a standard sized adult cat who may be a touch overweight. But I wouldn’t consider it appropriately sized for a very large or lovably chunky furball. On to the one flaw…and surprise surprise, or not so much of a surprise, it’s my cat…not the product. Now that he’s gotten a taste of the great outdoors, he’s OBSESSED! Before the leash he would edge towards the door every time I let the dogs in or out but he never went out; now he tries to find every possible way to bolt out the door. And with 3 dogs constantly going in and out, it’s a hassle to constantly go grab the leash and harness every time I need to open the door. All in all, keep that in mind when ordering. Not sure if all cats have this issue after getting their paws wet in the wild outdoors (I’ve only owned 1 other cat when living in the country and he was naturally an indoor/outdoor cat). But if you’ve got a super excitable, dog-like cat…beware because they may love the outdoors TOO much after using the leash and have you on heightened alert anytime you approach a door haha! PS For those who may be concerned - Mogli is attached to the dog who is most protective of him. Roo. She has taken an unnatural maternal stance for a spayed dog; so, when I’m working in the yard, Roo’s his “babysitter”. No cats (or dogs) have been harmed in the making of this situation haha!

This leash paired w/ a booster seat helps my Cerebellar Hypoplasia cat in car rides to vet
Preface/background: Waffles was born in December 2022 with (mild) Cerebellar hypoplasia also referred to as CH or "Wobbly Cat Syndrome." This is a disorder where the brain doesn't fully develop neurologically and the cat can have uncoordinated and/or jerky movements along with balance issues. Some cats are severe and have trouble walking along with other things and some have a more mild form. My cat, Waffles is mild and for example can't jump from the floor to a couch or bed, wiggle butt, when he runs in the house he sounds like an elephant bc he runs & walks heavy, can't stand up & stretch his legs out on you when he wants held or like when you're making food or getting his ready like some cats do, he wags his tail when you talk to him. He also thinks I'm his mom & is attached to me like a kitten to their momma in regards to following me, crying for me if I'm not in the same room, etc. You wouldn't know he had by looking at him other than the way he sits and "loafs." A comparing would be like a human that has cerebral palsy. Review: I wanted to give a background or preface to my review so other folks with a cat like mine or any cat in general, thinking about this leash will have helpful information. When Waffles was a baby, a vet trip in a carrier was just a regular trip and he didn't cry. Well, as he has gotten older, the last 2 trips he cried almost the whole time. The one I couldn't take him out bc it was just me driving & him in the carrier in the passenger seat. (I'd give him treats to calm him down). This last time, my husband was driving & I had him in the carrier on my lap. I finally let him out & all he wanted to do was look out the windshield & window. And didn't cry once & let me hold him the entire time, he wanted to face forward so his back/spine was against me (like holding a kid). I came upon a few videos on social media platforms where ppl had leashes for their cats (one with CH) and a booster. I didn't want a leash to walk him, so I never bought one. But when I seen thr one with a booster & the cat sleeping, I thought it would be great for Waffles. I started searching & bc of his issue with CH in regards to balance & coordination, I didn't want to get a vest type bc I was thinking it would be more confining and really mess with his balance. I choose to buy this leash when I came upon it bc of it giving more "freedom of movement" for my cat when he was put down to walk, plus the leash would work with a booster. I then purchased the UNICITII booster for small dogs & cats & put it in my Explorer & tried out the leash. In the video, this was his 1st time ever on a leash, which he done phenomenal on for any cat, bit especially great for a Cerebellar Hypoplasia cat! He absolutely loved being in the booster. He did get a little tangled, so that is a balancing act on the length of the leash/harness you give them so they can't escape. You can clearly see the next day (day 2) the leash paired with the booster, that he loved it. And the best part, which I love, I can take him like.this to the vet and then put him.in the carrier before I take him inside. It's a win-win for us. No stressing him bc he isn't confined anymore in a carrier where he can't see & doesn't is totally unbalanced (think eyes closed & feel like your moving sensation). No he can watch out the window and balance himself with a combo of the leash & booster. And no stress or heartbreak on me bc he is crying the whole ride to the vet. If you've read this far, as you can see the leash is great & less confining than other types. I highly recommend this one, even if it's just a starter leash bc it is a great value for the money! And let's nor forget the color is super cute and not just plain jane, too! Please give me a thumbs up of this review was helpful and/or you gained any insight from my review :)

Almost escape-proof (escape proof for non-enraged and/or normal (?) cats)
We have tried a lot of cat harnesses, and this one is definitely the best one we’ve had. It fits the cats in the right places and is adjustable enough to wear. It’s very hard for them to get out of it but it’s not hurting them. Other harnesses cat has rolled out of immediately. We have two cats. One is what I would call a normal cat, even though she has her own personality and quirks. The other cat is what I would call the descendant of a jaguar who must’ve mated it with a domestic cat along time ago and left all his jaguar instincts in our small little tuxedo cat. He is the most beautiful, lean, crazy, determined, strong-willed, vocal “dog/big cat/people” acting cat I’ve ever met. I’ve successfully taken him on some walks with this harness (when I say, take him on walks, I mean, I carry him, but he can’t escape, I do not mean that he calmly walks down the street- that would not be in his nature), but he did escape the harness at a vet visit, which turned into hilarious (afterward), but long fiasco that left us banned from that particular vet. So if you have a normal cat, I would say this harness is probably the best one I’ve ever tried because, even my little darling could not escape most of the time— he had to get extremely (extremely) angry at a veterinarian and her needles before he could break free from it, and even then it was only on the third or fourth shot before he actually got mad enough to break free. We are all still not even sure how he did it, it’s that good of a harness. lol

I like it. Fit my 4 year old cat perfectly with plenty of room to accommodate a bigger cat. Unfortunately the leash is a bit short for my usage. Would've liked to give the cat more freedom to roam. Would work great on a dog though.

Oh wow! This lead is fab! I purchased two different ones to try for my two boys, and this was the winner! It fits securely, the band stays on the cats back area (even without the lead attached) The clips are smaller than others and easy to clip/unclip. It feels well made, and sturdy. my boys adapted to it fairly quickly in comparison to the other which kept slipping off their backs. We put it on in a morning without lead so they know they can explore our new house in the areas that are safe. So they associate with freedom. One (Loki) is very nervous so isn’t too sure of the outside world yet, but no escaping. The other, Phantom is a little more keen and happy exploring a little more. No escaping so far, but my boys are pretty chill. Although Loki the more nervous one did walk around like his legs had shrunk for a few days while he got used to it 😅🙈 or just turned into a kitty puddle on the floor. But lots or treats and encouragement he now happily lets me put this on him each morning. Phantom adapted easily and didn’t seem to bother him at all.
