Orimerc 50 Feet Self Watering Wick Cord

Some of my outdoor plant pots have saucers attached, so after a rain I use this cord to wick water out of the saucers so the plant roots don't drown, and it works great! All of my pots are on stands, and it wicks the water right down to the ground. I've also found that it works very well for tying my tomato plants to stakes. It is nice and soft and thick and doesn't damage the stems. I couldn't be happier with this product!

Función perfectamente. Lo he utilizado con botellas de 1,5 litros. Si colocas la botella con la mecha encima de la tierra vacía la botella en 1 día y si pones la botella en el suelo, va más lento pero aún así se vació bastante rápido. No lo veo apto para ausentarte durante una o dos semanas. La mecha es muy gorda y pienso que por eso va demasiado rápido. Voy a probar con una mecha de 3 mm y a ver si el riego es más pausado. También lo he probado con un depósito de agua debajo del tiesto. La mecha toca el agua y sube dentro de la tierra. También moja bastante la tierra con esta mecha.

I would definitely read the included instructions and test the flow rate before going on that holiday.

Tenia ciertas dudas de su funcionamiento, pero ha trabajado de forma muy buena, si pone trastes grandes funciona mejor, hay que tratar que el cordon no quede apretado por ejemplo al pasarlo por un pequeño orificio en la tapa de la bottella con agua, es mejor quitar la tapa, aunque se pueda evaporar el agua de la botella.
