It works even against cat pee!
I have a foster cat so scared of the others that she sometimes pees on my bed rather than take a trip to the litter boxes. Since this requires stripping the entire bed in the middle of the night I needed a better solution. Last night this blanket proved its worth. Nothing at all penetrated it and I was able to just wipe up and deodorize the spot. I have the colored, waterproof side up and the blanket on top of all the other bedding. I am so glad I bought this, it saved me hours of labor and laundry!

Probably okay, but noisy
Bought these as spare blankets for below-freezing camping, loved that they come in a carrying bag! They seemed to be water resistant to the condensation that accumulated in the night/morning, but we only used them for one night because we couldn't handle the noise they made. I can't review much more because we stopped using them. We laid them over our sleeping bags as insurance for below freezing nights, but no one slept all night because the blankets sound like a Doritos bag on steroids-they crinkle so loudly! At a football game, or an outdoor concert, that probably won't matter. But in the silence of nature, it was absurd. We packed them away and just used wool overlays. The takeaway--they're not for sleeping, or for when looking for quiet. Otherwise, give them a try, they do come in a nice little carrying bag.

Almost a poncho with a blanket
I bought this waterproof blanket for emergencies. My best girl and I went to Cedar Breaks to hike the rock formations there. Spectacular! It started raining and rather then just pick up and leave, we sat under my new Brawntide waterproof blanket and enjoyed the moment. Really nice size (82" x 55"), allowed both of us plenty of room and the waterproofing held up.

A MUST have!! Useful for Many of life's activities!!
This is a Beautiful large sized, lightweight, easily portable waterproof, wind proof blanket with an Amazing carry bag with removable shoulder strap. It is SUPER warm with it's 300 gsm fleece- which is almost impossible to find in a blanket in this price range. The waterproof portion is not too crinkly or stiff, it is actually very flexible. The quilting makes all the difference as there is no gap between the fleece and the waterproof layer AND it is much easier to roll up and get it into the bag. Do not doubt that you will use this all of the time and it is an easily justifiable purchase. Just get it- I know they are big enough to share but it is more fun to have your OWN. Just ask Opal (the pup)- she already took mine🥰

Brawntide Large Outdoor Waterproof Blanket
The size is nice. Plenty of room for two people to lay down.As far as the extra thick fleece, maybe I was expecting something like sherpa. I would say it is more like flannel than fleece, in my opinion. It served its purpose quite nicely all the same.We were able to stay dry and with another blanket over top of us we were able to stay warm enough, in outdoor temps in the mid 60’s and after dark too.

Pretty sweet blanket
So, I bought this blanket mainly for those nights around the campfire when the wind picks up enough to give you a chill, and recently I had the opportunity to give it a test drive. So far I am really impressed by the quality of this camp blanket. The outside layer is waterproof, the underside is fleece lined, and between the two layers is enough thickness to stop the wind in its tracks. This blanket is not thick though so keep that in mind if your looking for a quilted down blanket or something. The only real issue with the blanket I have found is the amount of static it generates as a result of the two materials it’s made out of interacting together. You just gotta make sure you take the blanket off and touch something metal to ground yourself out before you handle a Coleman lantern or a camp stove.

Not waterproof
I bought this specifically because it was described as waterproof, and when I got it I immediately tested it by pouring water on it. The water beaded up and I was able to wipe it away immediately. However, after washing it once (delicate cycle, cold water, as they recommend) I noticed that the water resistant qualities began to wane. The water would soak into the blanket such that it would not bead up so it could not be wiped away, but it did not soak through to the other side. This was still ok in my book.... but then after a subsequent wash I have noticed that the waterproof qualities now completely fail. I even tried spraying the blanket with waterproofing spray but it did not help. I now wish I could return this item, but since I am outside of the window I am not able to. Moral of the story is that the waterproofing is not durable.

Good for dog on bed
Very waterproof and pretty close to what I was looking for- I have a now large new puppy who is full of sand daily from playing outside with her best friend/ then she likes to treat my b d as her own and jumps on it constantly- I was using an old white quilt cover- which was spreading in the twice weekly washesNow I have a perfect bed cover- I just lift it and sand rolls off- however she dislikes the crunchy shiny blue side - so she tries to sleep on my soft pillow- once I’ve washed it , I’ll try the softer velvety black reverse side
