All I Could Ask For
The EVGA 650 G5 works perfectly, with the look and feel of quality about it.The only problem was the listed dimensions: 12 x 9 x 5 inches. Those are the outside dimensions of the box in which the power supply is shipped! The actual supply, inside the box and inside my computer, is 5 15/16 long x 5 15/16 wide x 3 5/16 high. Not an expert at building computers, I wasn't sure whether it would fit at all. But It fits perfectly, directly replacing an old (low quality) PS of the same dimensions. It's a good feeling to have such a high-quality supply powering my home built machine.EDIT: Now 3 months later it's still working perfectly and silently. I'm going to build another computer and will certainly buy another EVGA G5 supply.

Wiring Coated and quiet.
I have yet to hear my power supply at all so its super quiet with its fan and all, it comes with great wires and easy to install with every single wire being labeled appropriately. you can tell the makers took their time to make it great. NOT cheap quality at all. Durable and meant to last. Pics of the installed power supply after PC was built, and the wires connected to the CPU and Graphics card. Good Quality. only complaint, CPU wire is not long enough to tuck behind the mother board appropriately .

Beautiful PSU
After a lifetime with my ThermalTake Toughpower 750w semi, I finally made the decision to swap out the last part remaining in my new build all in the name of better wire management and go fully modular. The TT was great but the wires were not braided. That supply had been through 3 builds, all small form factor, and the tight squeezes ripped the wiring. I was able to safely repair it but boy would it have been a dream to have the g5 years back. Now I have a much larger case but wires were still not as flexible as I'd like them to be. I figured I could drop 100watts and still be fine, grabbed this after getting a refurbished g3 that was DOA and I can't find anything to complain about with the g5. Noise level is about equal to the TT, noticeable but very quiet. Nothing I'm very concerned with. The blue/green fan cover is beautiful, it's a MUST HAVE for anyone who has a case that will show it off. Mine unfortunately does not. The green light in the back is equally as stunning. Unfortunately that too will likely never be seen with my current build. And also comes with velcro ties which was a huge help in cable mgmt. I'm not sure what else to say, have been running this about a week and no issues. Will update if things go south but for the moment very happy!

Super Quite and Powerful
This is very quite. There is a switch for econ mode that will put the fan to a off until needed condition. But I run my with the fan on all the time and it is so quite that I have to look at the fan blades to see if it is on. It is very powerful. The only con is that there are not enough power plugs for all my components. I had to add 2 power wyes for my system, but it doesn't skip a beat. This is well worth the money. A solid unit.

had to remove shrink tubing and zip tie from the 24 pin to fit my case
As a power supply this is solid and reliable. This would get a 5 star rating across the board from me if not for issues with cable management. The 24 pin wire was too stiff with the shrink tubing and zip tie in a crucial area needing to bend. I had a few choices. 1 run the cable to the top of the case and be exposed from the top to the middle of the case ( Not a clean look ). 2 remove a drive mount panel along with the case logo but again more cable would be exposed then I would like. 3 purchase mod cable kit someday maybe 4. Option I chose - remove shrink tube and zip tie. flatten cable for a short area bend. Am I disappointed in my choice of power supply or the mod I chose not at all I'm very happy. Someday I might go with a cable mod kit to bling it up some

EVGA Power Supply
I know just enough about computers to get myself in trouble. However, this modular unit was great because it was almost totally idiot proof. Each of the modular cables was marked with a tag as to where it was supposed to go. My old power supply had a "wad" of wires about 3/4" thick coming out of the power supply unit and then going everywhere within the case. I moved the old power supply out of the case and then traced each wire to where it went before disconnecting it. I identified which of the modular wires I need to reconnect to, e.g. the motherboard, cpu, etc. By doing that, I was able to disconnect and then reconnect the new wire to the appropriate component. After making sure all the wires were where they were supposed to be it was just a matter of looking at the tag on each end of each wire and then connecting it to the back of the power supply unit. My old power supply was a 500 watt, so I figured a 650 watt would give me some added "juice". So far everything is working great. The only fan noise I hear right now is my cooling fan which is about ready to give up the ghost. I've already ordered a replacement and hoping it gets here before the old one goes "south". I have ordered several EVGA products in the past and, so far, I have never been disappointed.

Awesome PSU
Very nice power supply, little to no noise when eco mode is on. Easy to setup and came with a PSU tester I have never seen before. Over all good hardware so far, but with a ten year warrenty all is good
