I feel this item was used already
I liked the item but this item was open before cause the Styrofoam was broken. The seal on the solar panel was off. I feel that this item was already used. I’m still going to try to use it right now. I’m charging it today

Not terrifying at all
The bird is tiny and cute but does not suffice in scaring away the morning doves that enjoy pooping on our porch. It came up under the search for "bird decoy." Lit up at night, but not as bright as the photos depict it (it got at least 10 hours of sunlight.) Get it if you want a cute lawn decoration, I'm rating based on intended use, not the use I thought it would serve.

The price makes it decent but..
it is not anywhere as cool as it could be. Slightly bigger everything (Bigger bird, solar panel, brighter LED, and better battery) would make it what you are thinking it will be like. Very dim. does not last all night. Confidence the electronics will last more than a year is like 20%. Bird itself is solid enough it should last.

Alittle smaller than I expected. But works and the detail is great.

Expected the figure to hr well lite. Not so- very little light at figures base

Tiny Owl
The owl is definitely not 17.7 inches as the ad states. The base is 2 inches. The owl is about 5 inches. Detail is very good and the owl lights up bright in the dark. The birds and squirrels that I got the owl to scare away? HahahahaUpdate. We set the tiny owl in a planter which was very secure. A huge windstorm blew over the planter. The owl hit the ground and broke off at the feet. A little gorilla glue and it's working again.

Adorable
My first review did not show the product in a very good light. But since I have had these tiny little guys in my yard and I really love them. I bought 2 and received 2 different little owls. One worked and the other did not. But after a week the other light comes on at dusk. Viola ! I wouldn't use these for anything but garden path lights, and for that they are adorable.
