Raspberry Pi 4 USB-C Power Supply UK Plug (White)

Just because it says Raspberry Pi on the tin, that doesn't mean these excellent and inexpensive power supplies should be limited to the DIY computers. These units have been independently tested to have excellent voltage stability and ripple suppression, meaning they are a great choice for sensitive 5v devices such as audio interfaces and DACs. What's more the 5.1v spec was designed to account for the voltage drop incurred by the cable and the connector. Clever. Will it audibly improve sound quality? Well unless you're using an absolutely dire power supply it's doubtful. But chipsets are happiest when there's nice, stable power, and along with the rest of the components, isn't being hammered by voltage spikes, dips and ripple current. In other words, components last longer and chipsets perform better when theres a nice, stable flow of power that doesn't stray outside of what the circuit was designed for. For sub twenty quid, it's a no brainer for taking extra precautions in the hopes your equipment will last longer.

Oh Raspberry Pi.... Yeah, this does the job for that perfectly. Keeps a great constant current and will likely make the Pi last a lot longer than using some USB charger that I found in a draw. A USB charger is not the same as a USB power supply. Chargers have a lot of variance on power feed and this can lead to issues with your Pi not having enough power. I would recommend this for powering your Raspberry Pi. I wouldn't recommend it for any pie related activities.

A bit pricier but it's the real deal

This is excellent quality and powers my Pi 4 no problems at all. My only issue is that it doesn't have an on/off switch in the cable so I have to get down on the floor and crawl under my desk to switch it on and off which is doubly annoying when it crashes and you have to do it several times. I know you buy switches but I think if this was built in I would give it 5 stars without hesitation.

Works perfectly

Bought this to go with the raspberry pi I bought my husband for Christmas

It looks good nice and practical, my son was over the moon, but very disappointed as we could not make it work, the system got stuck during installation of updates and refuses to connect after that, one down side also the SD for the Raspberry pi 4b no way you could reformat reinstall any of OS's locked for good. Sorry we returning it but we'll be ordering another set hopefully it works this time

I bought a white colour version of this official RPi adapter in December 2020. As of June 2021 it still works perfect and powers my 4GB RPi-4 Type B without hiccups (working continuously). The colour of the enclosure or the cable hasn't yellowed and never perceived it heat-up unduly.

Work great with raspberry pi 4, but still when I connect HDD to USB 3 port the voltage drop down and the wireless keyboard range become short.
