Bertucci A-2T Original Classic Watch

So I went in search of the "perfect" watch (for me) under $200. After reading reviews, and looking at several brands, I kept coming back to this Bertucci watch.First, I wanted a "field style" watch face. As I am older, my eyesight is getting more blurry. So a basic, uncomplicated face was what I was looking for. The contrast of white numbers on a black background is great. Even with my glasses off, I can still read the time.Second, I wanted a watch that had a minimum of 10 Bar/100m water resistance. This watch is rated to 20Bar/200m! That was also one of the deciding factors, that swayed my opinion. Screw down crown, and screw down back creates a very water resistant watch. Crown is at the 4 o'clock position. This is great for comfort, since the crown doesn't dig into your wrist, when you bend your hand up. I thought it was a little odd at first. Now that I have it, I love this feature !!Third, solid lug bars, not spring bars. This sort of blew me away! Why hasn't this become the norm, in most watches being worn for work? Though I am not as hard on watches as when I was as a kid, this design should have been around a lot longer. I'm glad some one took the initiative and designed their watch with solid bars! Yes, you can only use pass through straps. But there are many of those. So many options.Now the benefit that I have have found with the solid straps: my watch stays centered on my wrist! My two piece Citizen watch does not. It wants to hold the watch face away from me, so I have to physically pull the watch towards me, to read the time. It's also not as comfortable wearing it. The Bertucci is lighter, and more comfortable than my more standard design Citizen.Fourth, Sapphire glass! It is flat, not domed. And recessed, so quite protected. Scratches on your watch face are a thing of the past. Could it get scratches? Sure. But you are going to really have to work on it, compared to mineral glass. And this was another box, that got a check mark.Fifth, 10 year Lithium battery. I have Timex, Casio, watches that have 3-5 year batteries. And when I saw 10 year battery, well, I checked that box too!Sixth, Titanium for the win! "Does Titanium really matter?" Yes! Super light. Like you are not even wearing a watch at all! And then with the way the strap passes through, this is the most comfortable watch I've had!Watch accuracy has been great! If the time on my computer is accurate, then the watch has only gained 10 seconds in the past month. Which is not out of the norm for any watch. Do your research on this, and this is normal. The only thing better is an Atomic/Radio watch. (next on my list!) If only Bertucci would create one!Three year warranty on the watch, and one year on their watch strap, this was what I was looking for.Con: As mentioned in another review, the date complication (date window) is the only gripe I have with this watch. Thin black number on a white background. Even with my glasses on, I can't read it. I would have preferred no date at all.Purchased from The Watch Co., out of California. I wanted to wait a month before I reviewed this watch. I haven't worn a watch in several years and simply used my phone for the time. But I found there were times that I didn't have my phone on me but I needed to know the time. I decided to get a watch. I was willing to spend much more than I paid for this watch but after researching and researching and reading reviews decided to go with the Bertucci A2 design. I couldn't be more happy with this watch and I'm so glad I didn't spend hundreds more. My watch came with the olive drab Zulu band. It was fairly stiff at first but I found that I liked the way it fit and I could wear it a little looser on my wrist. I also purchased a Bertucci leather band which I really like as well. I wanted to find a black band to complete my collection and went with theTridura. I'm not as happy with that band so I ended up ordering another black Zulu band. The watch itself is lightweight and comfortable. The size fits really well on my wrist. It's not really large like today's Trend but it's not exactly small either. Numbers are easy to see and it keeps great time. Swapping bands is a breeze and it looks good for every occasion. Bottom line, it's comfortable and it looks great. If I could knock the watch in any way it would be that the date is very difficult to see you with my tired eyes. But that is my problem, not the watches. The other negative I could find as if you're looking for a bright glowing watch in the dark, this is probably not your watch. I've had Luminox and other watches years ago and this one just doesn't have the brightness. But then again I didn't buy this so I can wake up in the middle of the night and tell what time it was. The selling points for me on this watch was the lightweight titanium, the lithium battery, and this particular one comes with a sapphire crystal. All in all I'm really happy with my choice

This Bertucci A-2T has a sapphire crystal, Swiss luminous, and best of all, a lithium battery. Lithium battery = 10 year battery life. I hate changing watch batteries, even though I've bought all of the equipment to do so on Amazon.I have Tag Hauers, Citizens, Seikos, Lacos, and Victorinox watches, and the Bertucci is one of two that I wear daily (the other being a Laco Bielefeld). I love how it looks and it is very light weight. I ordered the Bertucci British tan leather NATO strap and it really made the watch a beauty. The Japanese quartz movement should last a good while and will probably hold up at least until the battery dies.I only wish that this model watch came with a black case.

Really a super watch. Light, comfortable and durable titanium. Keeps great time and a long life battery. Only thing I dont like is the permanent lug bars as it prevents using a 2 piece strap. Not a huge deal though.

With so many different versions of the same watch I was relieved to get exactly what I had ordered (almost.)titanium, sapphire, swiss lume, lithium battery were all there. The surprise was wr was upgraded from 100 to 200m and there were minor changes to the location of said printing on the watch face. I'm assuming it's a new version. An awesome win for me but pictures need to be upgraded as surprises are not always a welcome thing when buying online.

The watch fully corresponds to its description. Perfectly made and with excellent quality of materials.This is one of the best everyday watches I have.About the seller - just compliments. He helped me a lot with the issues that I had with the customs and helped me to reimburse the expenses that were charged to me (VAT and duty fee).I strongly recommend.

Great looking watch. The pictures on Bertucci's website doesn't do it justice.One negative point: It arrived with a bent crown. I didn't want to go through all the hassle with international shipping so I went to a local watch maker to have it fixed. Wich was something he could do for a few euros.I took this up with Watch Co's customer service and they compensated well me for my troubles. Never had such a good service from any seller before.
