Like most feather pillows, you fluff daily for best experience. No loss of feathers other than one small down one. No sharp pokes ever. All feather with 30% down is time travelling...most here have 5% down and poly batting blended or surrounding feathers. They aren't firm. Your head will compress it sinking in. You'll want to buy more and have more. Not gusseted... Perhaps the internal structure sewing is. Looks fabulous and cost is not much more thandisposable big box kind that will never decompose adding to microplastic future.

Listen to Granny about these pillows. I've ordered 8 sets of so called Feather Pillows. Most weren't actually Feather Pillows but feather down with no feathers in site. That or they had other fillings in them that made them way to tall. They were thick, hard, uncomfortable and returned. See, I'm from the old school where Feather pillows are suppose to be softer and where you can bunch them up around your neck. These Feather pillows are just that!!!! I'm a 67yr old side sleeper and these are sooo comfortable. HERE'S THE SECRET TO FEATHER PILLOWS 1) To keep feathers from poking you as you sleep Put a pillow protector on them 1st and I use 2 pillow cases or a pillow case and a sham. Put the 1st case on and when you put the 2nd one on Put the end of the 1st one inside the pillow case so you only have 1 opening PLEASE KNOW I automatically do this with all of my pillows to keep them clean. 2) If your pillows feel to soft Put them in a smaller pillow protector to keep it scrunched up better. 3) Using a pillow protector and 2 pillow cases keeps feathers from poking you and it keeps your pillows new for years. I absolutely love these pillows... The cover is soft and you can actually see the feathers. Yes they come vacuum sealed so just let them sit for a hour and throw them 1 at a time in the dryer on air for 5 minutes to fluff up. My pillows had no odor whatsoever. I purchased the standard size in the white gusset and I'm very happy with my purchase. JUST A HELPFUL SUGGESTION Putting your feather pillows in a smaller pillow protector will keep them from going flat while you sleep.

These are super comfy pillows. I missed my actual down pillows and these have not disappointed. My neck isn't stiff or hurting when I wake up in the morning. The great part is when they go flat a little fluff and they go back to normal size. Another thing is I don't have feathers poking me all the time. Great buy!
