I really like these latches
I really like these latches. You do need to ensure that the mounting surface is very clean before attaching them or the tape will come un-stuck. When the tape came off after 3 years (3 years!) I removed the residue and old tape, and was able to use high quality double-sided foam tape to re-attach. It seems just as secure now as it did before.

Came Unstuck after only a month! (from the lock side not machine side!)
I bought this product only about a month ago, and it installed easily and seemed to work really really well. I was pleased: until the adhesive on the back of the lock totally gave up on both the washer and the dryer locks and the lock has simply fallen off the front of the machine. The adhesive is still stuck to the machine, but the lock is on the floor. Given that the adhesive comes stuck to the lock already, there is nothing I could have done differently. This apparently just isn't a good product in terms of the material they use. So now I need to buy 2 new locks and these weren't cheap!

This product works as advertised. It is fantastic and gives us piece of mind. Highly recommend.

It takes 3 hands to open the dryer
I read the reviews and many say it only stays on for about a month or so before falling off, and it has only been a few weeks, so it is early to rate adhesion, but so far it is working well. I have arthritis in my hands, so managing the opening of it is a little hard for me. You have to push in a button while simultaneously turning the lever with another hand, then with your third hand, you open the door while still pressing the button and turning the handle with another hand. I've learned how to do it with two hands, but each time it is a trick. I hold down the button with the palm of my hand, and then turn the handle with my fingers, then I have a free hand to open the door. You also need to do the same thing when you're finished to close the door. It makes extra steps, but it satisfies licensing. I am a licensed childcare provider and need this on my dryer so children don't climb in.

My kid says it's weak-sauce!
They work well in terms of functionality but my three year old tore it off and was back to opening the oven door and dishwasher within just a few days of being installed. Works great with children who don't have unnatural toddler strength 🤣

Does not stick
This is a great concept and it does work well to lock the dryer. The problem I have is the adhesive on the back of the lock that sticks near the dryer door isn’t strong enough. My cat continually knocked it off. So if you don’t have a pet or child that would mess with it it’s a great gadget.

Great peace of mind
Easy to install, works like it should! My kids won't be strong enough to turn these for a long time... No key, just a complex sort of mechanism with a push-button and twist that need to happen simultaneously. Not only does it make doors tough to open, but impossible to close completely without twisting the lock. Great idea. Now my washer can air dry (reducing mildewy smell) after a load without me worrying that the kids will crawl in.

Only as good as the adhesive
I bought this when we first got our front-loading washer to reduce my wife's fears about our precocious 3 year old and his older brother "playing" in the laundry room. The problem with this device is that the only method of installing it on the washer (or dryer) is the adhesive backing. This worked great for about a month, but then it just fell off because the adhesive had worn off.If you are concerned about your kids getting into a front load washer, I recommend buying a washer model that has a door lock button/feature. There is of course some chance that a kid could figure out how to unlock the door, but not much more so than the chance that they could figure out how to open this device, or just aggressively pull on the door until the adhesive gives out. The other option would be to put a lock on your laundry room door. Definitely more effective, and possibly cheaper.
