Everything that was promised was delivered
For those sour-dough(s) claiming this set's made of cheap non-tempered steel (rephrased), they're WRONG. My set arrived Sunday (as promised) & it was put to work as soon as the outfit worn to church was swapped for garage-wear. These punch pins took plenty of hard, sharp blows using a punch hammer [http://www.amazon.com/SE-8355HH-Dual-Interchangeable-Hammer/dp/B000Z7GGKQ?ie=UTF8&psc= 1&redirect= true&ref_= oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00] (bought the same time) & not a single one of the AT9 set failed. Even after breaking free multiple frozen carb fittings none weakened or flexed during . Not one cracked or snapped. They took a lickin' & kept on tickin',...even the 1/16th punch stayed in like-new condition after I'd hit it repeatedly; every edge remained sharp & unblunted. Are these tempered steel? You bet they are: cheap ground edges would never have stood up to the work-out (abuse) mine got.I priced a similar-quality set of 18 pin-punches at Sears' Tools & a 21-piece set at Snap-On & the lowest price for a tempered [Vanadium] set ran $85 & $125 respectfully. When you consider I paid $15 for this set, even if it had been damaged after repairing 2 carburetors it was still a bargain. I definitely would've recouped what I paid. As it is I have a quality set which I know will last me indefinitely (for as much as I'll use them).

Impressed So Far
I have not used these for the intended purpose yet since I have not received all the parts for my lower receiver. I will be using these to build an AR15. I included pictures of the pouch, them in the pouch and 3 of the 9 pieces. The fit in the pouch snugly. The grip end provides plenty of positive grip. The feel very tacky while holding in your hand, which is a good thing. I like the long neck and think that that will come in handy when using them to keep those wiley detents compressed with placing pins/roll pins. The semi-spherical end should be great for keeping the punch squarely on top of the roll pins. I plan on updating the review either during or after the build. After build update: They worked great. Made it ridiculously easy to get those roll pins in. It would have been very difficult to use a regular punch. I even used them as temp rods when I was putting the fire control group in.I did wish the "neck" was shorter and grip longer at times but that is probably just a personal preference.

The look good to me.
I ordered these punched to remove roll pins from my firearms. I will be using these along with a tekton hammer. They all appear strong and capable of taking a hit. I tried to bend some of them by hand and did not feel any flex. The came with a bag to hold them in when not in use. I did see some other reviews saying they did bend after receiving them I am not sure how. Considering what I am going to be using gem for I expect them to last a long time.I like the grip area it has a nice texture to prevent slipping. They do have a coating of some sort of oil. Not sure if this is left over from machining or to prevent rust. This did not bother me until I read the package saying the product may contain chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Please wash your hands after handing. WOW!

Not bad for the price.
I used these recently on a project. While the punches worked great, I noticed that some punch kits include a roll pin starter punch. This would be very helpful if included. The pouch that's included to keep these in, is quite cheap, I store mine in my large tool box on a pullout for easier access. The grip texture is quite aggressive, which is good, but can also cause scratches if have to position them near your work. I put some painters tape on mine to prevent that.

Nice punch set.
These punches are a little shorter in length than other punches that I have. They work great for 4 wheelers and snowmobiles.

Decent for the price.
Not top of the line punches but you get what you pay for. Decent set for rare use. Roll pins shouldn't be so hard to drive in that you bend these if they are that hard to drive in stop and see what the resistance is. I have a better set in my shop that cost over $100 these are for my garage and they're great.

Be Gentle With The Small Ones
I liked this set when I first got it. It has a nice solid feel and a decent roll-up storage container. But when I had to use the next-to-smallest size to knock a pin out of the slide of my 1911 pistol, the punch started to bend. I was as careful as I could be to keep the alignment straight, but the pin was pretty tight and the punch kept wanting to bend. I understand that making a tool that small that will stand up to some solid licks is probably very difficult. Haven't had any problems with the larger size punches, though.

Works good for cheaper set
new AR builder so can't compare them to much but seems like good quality and got the job done of building my lower receiver. I did have one bend on me but I'm sure it was user error from beating on the trigger guard roll pin. Wasnt sure the correct sizing and how it should seat in the roll pin so between that and getting frustrated and hitting harder I'm sure was the problem.
