I tried the brown for the first time and it is lovely

I’ve used the Physicians Formula Eye Booster for well over a decade, and it has always been my go to eyeliner. The Deep Brown colour has historically been rich, smooth and easy to build, but over the last year I’ve noticed the formula seems different. It doesn’t go on quite as bold or as fluid as it used to, and the line can look a little streakier unless I take extra time. I’ve bought several recently and the colour inconsistency has been the same across all of them. Black is not quite as bad and goes on a little stronger, but not as bold as it used to be.Despite that, it still performs better than any comparable drugstore liner I’ve tried. It remains smudge proof, sets quickly, and stays put throughout the day even on my dry, sensitive eyes, with no irritation at all. Coverage is still good, though I do find it fades faster than previous versions, especially with long daytime wear.Application is as easy as ever. The brush tip gives great control, and it’s ideal for quick morning makeup when I need something reliable that won’t transfer onto the lid. It’s also still excellent value for money, especially considering the built‑in serum and the fact that one pen used to last ages. Longevity is slightly reduced now, but still decent.I continue to stock up when I’m in the US, as I’m not sure whether Amazon listings are older batches. I really hope they return to the original colour consistency, because the product itself remains one of the most dependable, irritation‑free eyeliners on the market.

The eyeliner smudges and doesn’t last

This is my favourite liner. It’s a lovely dark rich brown, it applies easily over eyeshadow and it stays put all day. Comes off again with cleanser at the end of the day too. Perfect.

I have been using this as my daily eyeliner for about 4 years now. It was the only one my mom had, and of course I "borrowed" from her. It lasts a decent amount of time, maybe like 2-4 months, just if it starts being faded it's time to get a new one. It doesn't flake, or "melt" (you can cry with it without looking like a panda, but it will mostly likely not fully last the crying session, just won't look bad!). It makes drawing on a wing so much easier. It dries quickly, but I've never had much of an issue with the pen drying. It doesn't smudge, but it can be rubbed off with some force (which is a plus for me). I use this every day and everywhere and have had 0 issues with it. This eyeliner will be buried with me!Would, and have, recommended this to everyone. They are cruelty free which is an even bigger plus!!

This eyeliner lasts on oily lids. It will last for a few hours without primer, afterwards eyeliner will fade instead of smudging on the eyelids.The eyeliner is also suitable for sensitive skin / eye.

My favorite

Best eyeliner I’ve ever used. It allows you to draw a very fine line and doesn’t run. Hypoallergenic with no scent which is perfect for people with allergies. I would recommend it.

This is one of the few eyeliners I buy time and time again. The brush applicator is so smooth and makes such nice lines, so it's so much easier to apply and do wings if I want. It's not waterproof, but it's not advertised as such so I am happy with how long it stays. It never bothers my sensitive eyes and one pen will last a long time without drying out or picking up other makeup. Also love the deep brown color! Not as intense as a black liner while still giving dimension and brightening my eyes.
