I love this company. They make incredible products that are so well built and efficient.This is exactly what you need for browsing the web, doing research, anything small. I don't recommend replacing you keyboard and mouse for this for gaming because it is too small for that, but it is perfect for anything else.I use this to type quickly on my Xbox, but it has Bluetooth capabilities as well as an adaptor so you can simply plug it in and turn it on, or turn it on and connect it. The track pad is extremely responsive, the keyboard buttons are a very thick rubber which makes it nice to press on. It is completely silent and so easy to set up. I can control my volume through this and it house a little mouse wheel on it!! When you press the buttons, it lights up the buttons from underneath in a convenient yet simple way. It's super easy to use and I will be using this all the time. Thank you Rii for another amazing product!

I have only been using this keyboard for about a week now, and I have to say that I am more than happy with the purchase. I did get this one because they said that it was updated version and I use it to control my viewsonic board as a teacher, and WOW. In the past, I have used a clicker to move through my slides, but this little keyboard with the mouse pad is an all in one powerhouse gadget. It is light, and doesn't seem so substantial and I am sure that once i drop it a few times, its going to break, but it really has made my life much easier, and for $24 that is a big win for me. I do not use the BT to connect to my viewsonic board, I use the dongle, and there is no lag time for anything. I can use it from anywhere in my classroom without any issues. The mouse works great, and the two red buttons on top are great for mouse clicking too. Really impressed.

I'v gone through a number of these with my media PC and this one is far and away the bestPROs- The buttons are big, and very responsive- The touchpad is perfect - my last one was very jumpy, and would move the cursor off the button when you took your finger off the touchpad - even with sensitivity reduced. Drove me nuts.- Scrollwheel! Enough said- Options of connection. BT is convenient but doesn't work on boot to get into BIOS and things like that. With the 2.4Ghz dongle it's like having a keyboard attached. For me that's very important.- The shoulder buttons are big and very easy to find in the dark if you just need to pause/play.- The backlight when turned on is very bright!- The backlight comes on automatically for a few seconds when you turn on the keyboard.CONS- There is no dedicated pause/play and FF/RW buttons. They are each a two key combination. In some applications the OK/left/right work for those features - in some they don't. I may be wrong, but I feel like most people with use this little keyboard for media - and dedicated buttons would be convenient. If you use Linux it's very easy to reprogram some of the less useful hardware buttons. I have no idea what the process would be on Mac/Windows.- Turning on the backlight is a two-key combination, which can be a little tricky to find in the dark. I'm hoping muscle memory will solve this problem shortly.- This seems to be an industry standard on this type of keyboard - I've looked at dozens - but there is only one shift button. It's only a mild annoyance because nobody is setting typing speed records on this little guy. With that exception it's a full keyboard - including an AltGR button for accented/special character input, which is great!

Handy little controller!! Boyfriend has been talking about wanting the Rii i8 for 5+ years, and when we went to finally get it, we ended up going with the Rii i4 Mini. I did not know what to expect (with either model), but I was down to try it, and it has been great! For a controller, keyboard, and trackpad all in one, it serves a great purpose and has a lot of versatility and functionality!Now, I was very surprised by the size, given that it has a keyboard, trackpad, and a bunch of other function buttons. It fits perfectly on my palm, and the length is pretty much the same size as my hand from wrist edge to fingertip. So, if you have larger hands, it will likely fit well in your hand. When using it, you will want to use both hands since it needs to face the same way as the keyboard. It is very thin and is flat, with no real bulges.It is also extremely lightweight. It is made with plastic materials but is structurally sound. It has a full-functioning keyboard and trackpad, as well as other buttons, most of which are labeled. The trackpad has good sensitivity and gestures. The little finger instructional icon pictures are actually on the trackpad, as shown in the photos (it is not a sticker or removable); I personally find this to be helpful since it helps you to learn them, and you can easily reference it instead of having to find the manual or Google it.It connects to devices by Bluetooth and/or a dongle and is fairly easy to connect. We have used it successfully with our laptop, iPad, and iPhone. One thing to note if using a MacBook - we had to change the trackpad settings on the laptop to make it go two-finger down for down, etc,... this then reversed the actual computer's trackpad.I appreciate the backlight as it makes it very easy to operate in the dark or at night, as well as find if it ends up mixed in the bed or couch ha... The backlight has auto on/off feature which is helpful and preserves battery. We use it mainly as our "tv remote" via laptop connected to the tv, and it is very convenient...sorry not sorry, we aren't going to get up every time we need to pause or rewind, search, etc. It is also wicked helpful for the iPad and iPhone, making typing a breeze just like on a laptop.It is rechargeable via USB-C, much preferred over regular batteries - and it holds a charge for a good while with lots of uses. I think there is a little bit of learning merely from what do all of these buttons do (obviously not your typical keyboard ones), but it is very easy to operate.If you are looking for a compact, multi-purpose remote/controller and mini full keyboard - this is a good one. Given its size and weight, it is very easy to transport. You can also find cases made for it (sold separately), which I highly recommend for longevity, especially if you do plan to travel/transport it... Again, it is plastic - a sturdy plastic, but you will want to take precautions... I can see issues if you throw it in the bottom of a bag and crush it... Also, the price is great for what you get out of it.

I've gone through a few of these sorts of things. Often they are loose, mushy, throwaway things. Since my old Lenovo media remote bit the dust I have tried a few of these little keyboards, and eventually I get sick of them or they break. Especially the trackpads.I was expecting another meh, but the reviews, price, and scroll wheel led me to settle on this.PROS:-Light and plastic but feels solid. Buttons feel pretty good and have nice clicky feedback. It actually feels kind of good to use for.the most part. Scrollwheel has detents and also feels nice. Keys are not domed keys but fair nice flat chiclets. Not the fastest (like any of these could be) but allows me to be surprisingly-It looks kind of nice! Has a keyboard backlight that toggles with FN and.jt works great with the dongle. (I have not had reason to test Bluetooth.) Decent materials.-Pop open the back cover to reveal the LIPO battery... and it's removable and replaceable. Can't comment to availability but... nice!-This is uncluttered but has just enough media and control buttons to make this a great HTPC remote. However, upon losing a remote and trying this on my Android TV boxen, I was shocked! All the media controls work. All the browser controls work. I don't hate holding it and I don't dad-press the wrong button often.Ambidextrous!This is also probably the best trackpads I have ever seen on this type and size device. But seeCONS:It's always the pointing device with these.-The mouse left click and right click buttons are on the upper bumpers. The placement is awkward given where the trackpads is and necessities quite the odd grip for single hand mousing. It is light and a bit slippery on the parts that are not buttons.-The trackpad. It is fantastic compared to every other one of these little remote boards I have tried; but it also is pretty mid if we stop grading on a curve. Taps work and scroll gesture works. Two hand tap is a bit fiddly but works. Tracking is about on par with a decent 2010-era netbook... Meh, but also, pretty damn good for one of these little things.Sum:This is a damn good home theater keeb. It works with my Linux (Fedora) HTPC and my Android TV box and my Windows desktop. Having used several products including many by RII, this solves many of the gripes I had with those other models and works real good. If you're looking for one of these, this is one to try!

This is an excellent Bluetooth keyboard for the pocket size travel to be used with the fold phone series from Samsung. Keyboard responsiveness is excellent. Compatibility with Android is perfect. This is somewhat expensive but you are getting a good build quality keyboard. Design as some quirks but they are easily overlooked due to functionality. Very light as far as holding it hand. Easy connectability for bluetooth. This is the keyboard I am going to keep for use. The best part about the keyboard is the scroll wheel which is very handy especially when scrolling pages. I am finding that I am able to utilize this keyboard better than the other keyboards I've purchased thus far on amazon.

I've been using this since 2001. I definitely don't regret my purchase, but I have had a few issues with it, and I don't think I would buy it again unless they offered a Mac/Apple layout out.I'll start with the good, it works really well overall, is compatible with anything that'll work with a standard keyboard and trackpad. Trackpad isn't garbage, though it could be a little more responsive.. It gets very decent battery life as well, I don't have to charge it that often. The scroll wheel is really nice too. Though I wish it had two finger scrolling, the scroll wheel is perfectly acceptable. The backlight is really nice as well. I have the backlight set to stay on all the time.The main issue I have with it is the kid repeat rate is pretty bad. Particularly if you're pressing the same key twice in a row. I always have to remember to wait a second between keypresses when I do the same key twice in a row, which isn't fun if you have a lot to write.Another issue is that the charge port broke after about a year. I don't necessarily blame the manufacture on this, it's micro USB, and I found that micro USB has a higher than average rate of breaking, since it's so small and fragile. I blame the specifications, more than I blame the maker of this device for that. However, since they use a standardize battery in this, I was able to find a charger and a higher capacity compatible battery. So, instead of charging through the micro USB port, I just swap batteries in an external charger. This actually works out better for me, overall, anyway. The original battery stopped holding a decent charge after about 2 years, so having a third-party battery and charger worked out in the end.The trackpads tap doesn't always work reliably, similar to the key repeat rate, so I use what looks like shoulder buttons to click most of the time.Oh, and it goes to sleep pretty quickly, so I am often flipping the power off and on to wake it up (it's faster than tapping the buttons and waiting for it to wake).I came back here to see if they made one with Mac/Apple layout, which I would've bought if they did. It's not a big deal having the Windows layout, but it would just be nicer to have the layout for the platform I'm using 90% of the time. Given some of the minor issues with it, I'm going to look for something else that has a Mac/Apple layout instead.Overall, I would say this is good as a backup keyboard, or even for use on some thing like a media center computer. I wouldn't want to use it as a main keyboard, or for heavy typing. I originally bought this for a Mac mini, that I used in the living room as a media center, and it was perfect for that. I later replaced the Mac mini with an Apple TV, so now I use it when I'm repairing and testing stuff for work.

It's comes in a light, sturdy, well designed, and easy-to-hold-with-two-hands plastic package.Connect it with the provided USB dongle, or you can use it with Bluetooth as I do. Pairing is smooth. The connections are reliable, strong, and latency-free. My distances rarely exceed 20 feet and work fine.It has a rechargeable battery that uses a USB micro connector. No cable or charger comes with it. If the battery dies, you can still use it almost immediately after plugging in a charger. The battery takes about 2 hours to fully charge using my old Motorola phone charger and runs for days when used lightly, as with a home theatre.All the proper keys are there, well spaced, backlighted (in your choice of, like 8 colors), and they offer a nice click response. Tiny, tiny letters on some multi function keys desribe what they do.The track pad works very well and takes up the right amount of space. You can scroll using a small drum with a light, detented action and a press-to-click feature. There are cursor arrows with a select button, all conveniently arranged together in an efficient circular pattern. Big switches are located at each upper corner (like game controllers) and work like left and right mouse clicks, respectively.There are volume and browser control buttons that work well when your system supports them.There is a switch to turn it off/on. Power/Cap Lock/Battery have useful status lights. You can mess with backlight colors and trackpad sensitivity (somewhat crude).I use these on home theater PCs running NextPVR or a browser, on mini pcs sitting on a shelf or in a cabinet, and android tablets when I want to use a real keyboard. I keep one in my computer bag for controlling presentations.Not a gamer, so I can't say much for those curiosities other than try it if you can and see how it works. For keyboard interfaces, I suppose it could be great!I have about 6 of these scattered around and they work very well. Family members and visitors pick up and run with these quickly. I've been using them for years now.A nice component in a well functioning technotoy system.

Nosotros usamos una laptop vieja conectada a la television para hacerla smart por medio de HDMI, mas sin embargo estar usando el mouse como "control remoto" si es tedioso, aparte de que tambien necesitas el teclado a distancia.Buscamos teclados con mousepad pero son demasiado grandes para lo que necesitabamos, y este mini teclado ha sido una maravilla. Ya tenemos unos meses con el y todo esta al 100 todavia, lo cargamos como 1 o 2 veces al mes, usandolo con el dongle incluido, nunca hemos probado el bluetooth.Nos ha funcionado con ambos Windows y Linux, nada mas se conecta el dongle y se usa.
