Milwaukee 48-11-1850 M18 Redlithium 5.0Ah Bat Pack

I do a lot of DIY projects and some paid carpentry jobs. I'm a diehard Milwaukee tools guy, however, I've been using a lineup of mostly M18 1.5ah batteries in everything. The 1.5's work great for drills and jig saws, but on my circular saw or sawzall I was getting 2 or 3 eight foot cuts out of them and the battery indicator would automatically drop to 3 bars after 5 minutes of work. Frustrating to say the least. I decided to finally pull the trigger on a 5.0 because, although I am naturally very hesitant of reviews, I'd heard so much praise from fellow Milwaukee guys that I figured I should pull the trigger and see for myself. Well, let me tell you, the reviews are correct. These 5.0 batteries are simply incredible. For example, I just built a kitchen island and spent the entire day cutting. Whereas I used to have to always have one battery on the charger and constantly changing them with the 1.5's... when I was finished the 5.0 still had 3 out of the 4 indicators on and was slicing through 2x4s like they were made out of butter. The battery itself is listed as being rated for 1,800 full charges. That's more than any other battery I've ever found (or any cell phone.) Lastly, at the time of purchase I got these for $60 cheaper on Amazon than they were listed at HD. I've had two of these now for over a year and there is absolutely no discernible difference in power after using and charging them multiple times each week. Another thing I noticed is the massive increase in power with the 5 amps. The saw sounds completely different and cuts smoother. My Milwaukee blower I have feels like I went from blowing leaves with a straw to now whereas I fear the sticks I'm flinging through the air might damage my fence. Im not here to try to be a salesman, just trying to help out any of you others out there who run into constant power issues like I always have, or are just looking for a little less headache. The 5.0 was and is, literally, a game changer for me on a daily basis. I'll include some pics for you (I apologize for the sawdust) and you can see how it also compares in size to the 1.5ah battery.[...]

I got the battery and it came with no power obviously, and when I plug it in my charger flashes red and green, meaning the battery is no good, is there a way to resolve this problem need a working battery for my screw gun

So when I first plugged in the battery it did flash red and green and wouldn't charge so I plugged in an old battery and the old battery started charging so I went back with the new battery and pressed it in firmly and now it's charging fine. If you have this issue just make sure you push it in very firmly as the pins may be a little stiff. Overall seems to be the best deal out there for these batteries since they sell for at least double at the big box stores. Will update in a few months to see how battery holds up under regular backyard mechanic use.

So like many of the previous reviews the price makes you think this is a knockoff with Milwaukee logos slapped on. Rest assured this is a real Milwaukee battery as advertised. I use my 1/2” impact to remove driveshafts and axles so I really can’t reflect on usage on a single charge but on everyday use and at least 2-3 driveshaft/axles a day I need to swap batteries at least once a week. I can say however these batteries pack a punch compared to other name brands. Heavy in weight and very durable, this helps with the balance of the impact when use of force in applying pressure. Prior to my Milwaukee I had the yellow and black brand and this by far is an upgrade. I wish I never wasted my money on the other brand. Why the price is so low you ask? Well I needed to know why is it the stores that sell Milwaukee products are selling these batteries anywhere between $150-$199 and Amazon is able to sell these batteries for a mere $62. Amazon doesn’t need the markup money. So jump on this while you can. I bought 3 all together. I will refer this to anyone with enough sense of saving money when making money.
