I had an old Windows tablet die but I wanted to get the data off of it. I opened up the tablet, took out the mSATA hard drive and used this to read the contents. Worked perfect!

Dell laptop was caught up in the StopCode loop which nothing would help to get it out of it, so we needed to retrieve the data found on the HD. The SSD HD was a mSATA which I didn't have, found this one was the best, so I ordered it and I was able to download my data successfully! So easy and very secure for only $10! I would definitely recommend and buy again!

It worked so I could retrieve some files from a mSata drive. I first hooked it to a cord and it got hot and actually shut down do to thermal over-temp. Second time I plugged it straight into the USB and it seemed to work better, but still got very hot. Could maybe add a heatsink or maybe it depends on the drive also.

I snapped an mSATA drive into this adapter and executed the hdparm command so I could compare its performance to the emmc drive that I boot off. Even though the mSATA drive is going through a usb3 connection. It outperformed the emmc drive. That speaks highly of the adapter; great interface.

Improper connection makes it a bad choice cause I was hoping to keep it simple to connect with a working computer sata hard drive.

The slaver worked great! Highly recommended!
