Great projector, impressive value
I have owned three projectors in my life. Viewsonic, Epson, and a mini 720p projector by 3M. I have used them for presentations in meetings, watching movies, and playing games. In short, given my experience, I highly recommend the JIMTAB M18. I did my research. I watched hours of YouTube reviews for about 20 of these budget Chinese projectors before I settled on this one. The thing that sold me on this model was the common denominator... everyone seemed to love this projector. They have good reasons to! Here's what I like: 1) It is bright enough. When running a presentation in a lit environment with blinds open and lights on, text and graphics are still crisp and readable. With the lights off, the picture is phenomenal. I know there are cheaper native 1080p projectors on Amazon, but what suffers as a result? Would you sacrifice deep blacks for a higher LUX rating? Would you sacrifice color fidelity? I think the contrast and color representation on this model are wonderful. The blacks look black in a darkened room. The colors look natural and even. 2) The fan is quiet enough. I am used to hearing a fan run while using projectors. I feel like many of the reviewers who complain about fan noise on these projectors have no experience to guide their opinions. This is not the loudest projector I have owned, nor is it the quietest. I have owned PC PSUs that were louder. 3) The speaker is loud enough and the sound is good enough. You should not rely on any projector to deliver a high-fidelity audio experience, and this projector is no exception. For presentations, watching YouTube, etc., it will work fine. I recommend a separate audio solution for watching movies and listening to music. The speaker can be heard well over the fan. 4) The picture quality is very good. Running various screen tests, I can confirm that I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the picture. I did these tests with an 82" white projection screen in a darkened (but not totally dark) room. I noticed a little blurring at the edges of the screen and slight dimming of brightness at the extreme edges. I see these as common traits of all of the projectors I've used. I suppose you can buy projectors costing thousands more that do not have these issues, but I am happy to save that money for something else. When using the manual keystone control, I noticed some bowing of the image at the top and bottom, and more variation in the focus of the image, but overall, within the acceptable range for my use. 5) The price is excellent. In a crowded market of budget projectors, it can be difficult to choose the "right" one. The fact that this one costs less than $250, but offers features generally found on name-brand projectors costing $300-400 more is impressive. In summary, if you are looking for a great projector in the crowded field of value projectors, you should seriously consider this one. Let's be real. You can't compare this to a $1000 projector, and nor should you. This is the right projector for business presentations in environments where lighting can be controlled. This is the right projector for a kid's room. This is the right projector for a backyard movie party. This is the right projector for watching TV, and movies, until you can afford to step up to a $1000 system.

Great value, solid bright 1080p projector without any frills
Well, I had a long review written and accidentally lost it by trying to drag an image to the image thing. Here goes again: You're getting a pretty bright projector for the money. It holds up in day time light so long as a draw a curtain. You can see that I can put two dimmed lamps next to it and it still looks great. Black levels loose a bit of contrast/grey as compared to a normal TV, but that's expected. Software is adequate, I don't think the audio settings do anything based on my testing with headphones. Internal speaker is surprisingly functional, and works on the go and gets the job done. Not something I'd want to use regularly though. Keystone adjustment only does tilt, so you need to make sure it's mounted squarely if you're doing that. Focus works without issue. Just be sure to measure properly when you go to mount a screen - image size is only going to be worth controlling by physical movement. You have the option to scale the image down in software, but it's not a good alternative. Mine arrived with fingerprints visible on the lens when you turned on the unit (can't see them on the screen). Trying to clean them with a microfiber cloth revealed that they're internal, either in the lens housing on the backside or on the image itself. I'm going to have to take the unit apart to clean it properly and am not sure if that'll still give me access to remove them. QA could use a bit of work here. Images here are from a 100" diagonal screen projected on a wall which works perfectly well, but will look better once I mount a screen. Overall, pleased with the purchase, annoyed with the fingerprints.

Nifty "little" projector
The title doesn't do it justice. The Projector isn't little, in fact it's actually decently sized. It's not really a Portable projector at all. With that out of the way, lets get onto the actual review. I received the projector on the estimated day, even after having some technical difficulties with Amazon. That has nothing to do with the actual product, more of a note about Amazon's warehouse. The projector arrived, and i set it up and used it right away, and was blown away with how clear the image was compared to another projector I ordered. This projector is TRUE native 1080P, which i was really concerned about, after getting burned by Venkyo's projectors. I rated the Picture, and Value for money a 3 out of 5 stars based upon my own testing. One side of the image is always blurry, but I suspect that has nothing to do with the projector, and more about my setup, and once I'm able to get a more substantial setup, and do more testing, I'll change the star rating accordingly. My current setup is just a Plain white sheet stretched and nailed to a Wood paneled wall (the wall is not 100% True/straight, so that probably affects the image. The brightness is amazing, though it still requires a pretty dark room to see the image clearly, it is possible to view it in a adequately lit environment. I used a Blu-ray player, my Macbook Pro, and Xbox one on this projector, and each time, i was surprised with the quality. It's easily able to play 60FPS videos/content with out any ghosting that I noticed. all in all, for the price, I'd say this is easily a steal. the customer support is also very amazing. They have good live support if you contact them through their Facebook page. At the time of my purchase, they were doing a special, where if you give them your Order #, they will send you a gift free of charge. While the gifts are just novelty items, it's still something that shows they care about their customers. I would rate their Customer support 5 out of 5 stars. They checked in with me after I received the gift, to make sure I got it, and to check on how the Projector is working out for me.

M18 is a great budget projector
The M18 v1.0 is probably one of the best budget projectors on the market. Its picture quality is great (so much better than $100 budget projectors), its brightness is decent for most room lighting conditions, and its sound quality is good. The fans/motor noise is loud, but you tend to not notice it after a couple of weeks. Strategic projector placement and external speakers may help. Otherwise, Iโm very happy with my purchase and would recommend any native 1080p projectors, and specifically M18, to any friends/family looking for a mostly enjoyable projector viewing experience. Breakdown incident - after unplugging it for the holidays (~6 days), we plugged it back in and suddenly it wouldnโt turn on. We troubleshooted with new power cord and using other outlets, but still no power (besides faint green light on power button). After communicating with customer service via email, they kindly agreed to send us a new replacement projector free of charge. Weโve had it for a week now, and things appear to be working great again. Long story short, when the projector works as expected, itโs great; when it doesnโt, JIMTAB support will help you troubleshoot and eventually take care of you properly, so itโs great then too.

Great Projector for the Price
I debated back and forth on budget projectors. Many of the comments/questions had answers that took both sides of the things I was asking. So .... here is my side - Fan Noise: Using outside, I didnt even know the projector was running it was so quiet - Brightness: Excellent. Even with some ambient lighting it still had a quality picture. Once dusk hit. WOW - Throw: A bit closer of a throw that I wanted, but that does also mean it will cast a large picture from further back - Sound: Its there, its ok, you'll want speakers. Good in a pinch in a quiet room. I didnt buy it for the sound - Versatility: Has all the plugs and connectors - Remote Control from Front/Back: Yep - Customer Service: SPOT ON and PROMPT Cons (more nitpiks): - having to adjust the lens for the cap is a pain, but it is what it is

Great For Movies & Gaming
I've had this projector for 3 years and counting and ill tell you this , I'm running my fire tv stick and my xbox series x and external immersive speakers from this bad boy and I cant wait to get home from work just to turn it on . Picture is sharp and beautiful , movies give me the theater experience i was looking for and with the extra hdmi port one push of a button on the remote and I'm gaming instantly. I'll also add No input lag for competitive games or chill games . This is definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made and I'm considering purchasing another one for another room in my house. The fan noise is non existence to me being that I use external speakers and or headphones at night when the spouse is asleep. I hope this company continue making this projector and maybe in the future create the first 1440p native projector ๐ . But as of now I'm in love with my 1080p jimtab , highly highly recommended. No regrets

Great value with a good price
This projector is great value! I bought this projector to watch movie and play ps 4 when I am in bed. Itโs been about 3 weeks since I bought the projector, it pretty good with the picture quality and resolution. I mounted the projector on my ceiling and directly projects to the wall, works great so far. With the lamp in the room on and off, the picture is clear and bright. With daylight on, it is not as clear as at night(I think this is a common issue with projectors though). The USB port allows me to directly connect a hard drive to it and play some movies, but Iโm not a big fun of downloading stuff, so, itโs kinda extra to me. The sound of it is acceptable, bass is not as good as my Bose soindlink mini. So I mounted the small speaker on top of the projector and then use the USB port to charge the speaker. Overall, itโs a great projector with $200 budget. Everything works just fine for me.
