Lockdown 15 Inch Cable Gun Lock with Non-Marring, California DOJ Approved Design and Keyed Padlock for Secured Storage of Rifles, Pistols or Shotguns, Green

Locks like a lock, unlocks like a lock! Feels durable and will definitely keep your firearms safe, however it's a very simple key that would be very easy to lockpick. So as long as you don't have lockpick experts trying to steal your stuff, you are good to go!

This cable lock is sturdy and serves its basic security purpose well. The 15-inch cable length provides good flexibility for different firearms, and the vinyl coating prevents any marring or scratches on your equipment. The cable diameter is substantial enough to feel secure while still threading easily through most actions. The lock mechanism operates smoothly with no sticking or jamming. Having DOJ approval gives peace of mind for compliance purposes. The keys seem well-made and durable - not the flimsy type you sometimes get with cheaper locks. Important functional notes: The cable is long enough to secure most standard firearms but measure your specific needs first. The lock body is solid metal construction and resists tampering. The vinyl coating has held up well without cracking or peeling. One practical tip: test the fit with your specific firearm before fully installing, as some actions may require particular cable routing. Also worth noting that while this meets storage requirements, it's just one part of a complete security solution - use in conjunction with other appropriate safety measures. The green color makes it easy to verify the lock is in place during quick visual checks.

Bought these to use & secure baby gates, to prevent my dad (suffering from dimentia), from accessing "unauthorized" areas of the home during sleeping hours; and only because he eventually figured out how to operate the child-proof opening mechanism, or anything else we rigged to keep the gate closed. So these actually work pretty well for easily & quickly securing things, where a traditional lock or latch can't be installed; so long as it can be threaded or held, to secure it.

I had a hard time taking out the key but other than that, the product is solid

Works as expected keys a bit sticky

Had to cut the original off because I forgot the keys. Reluctantly bought this on Amazon thinking it would be cheap. I was wrong it works flawlessly and is quality. It has a long cable which makes it versatile for any size or configuration you need it for

It works but feels cheap. I use it as a helmet lock which deters opportunists but it is not sturdy at all

Satisfied.

Exelente calidad

Good quality, has second key, easy to use.

Exactly what it is supposed to do

Very easy to use cable style trigger lock. Locks and unlocks so very simple. Great way to secure and be lawful.

My only issue with this lock is that you need to insert and turn the key to get the cable inserted back into the lock. Not a big deal, but just takes a bit of extra time. With trigger locks and padlocks, this step is not necessary so I was a bit surprised that this was necessary. Would probably buy again though.
