Old, but it works easily enough.
Somedays you just need to hook a TI 85 calculator to your networked Macintosh LC III+ to load programs you've downloaded from ticalc.org. Cuz that's why I bought it. Shame I lost my original one from when this thing was new.IMPORTANT NOTE: make sure your computer has serial ports and that the software for this will work with your operating system. If not, you should look into a newer USB option.

Using this is much better for programming on my TI-86 than hammering it out on the calculator itself. It also saved my grades in Physics and other classes. :)

Very handy to have--a good buy.
The TI Graph Link cable connects any TI graphing calculator (TI-73, TI-82, TI-83, TI-83 Plus, TI-85, TI-86, TI-89, TI-92, TI-92 Plus) to a PC or Mac so that you can transfer files back and forth between the two. This is a very handy thing to have. It is extremely useful for calculator backups (a good thing to do every once in a while in case your TI crashes), and you can download a bunch of stuff off the Net to put on your calculator. A good place to get TI programs is ...You can buy the cable by itself, or you can buy it with the Graph Link software. I imagine that the cable Amazon is selling comes with software. However, if it is just the cable, you can download the software from TI's home page at ...The software for different calculators (I have linked to the TI-83, the TI-85, and the TI-86) is more or less the same; the confusing thing is that every calculator has a different procedure for linking. With some (such as the 86), you must be at the home screen; with others (such as the 85), you must be in receive (or send) mode. One warning, however: This cable works with both Windows and Mac. If you're a Windows user, though, DO NOT buy this cable; ($) is way too much. Buy the Windows-only cable (Amazon also sells this), because it's much cheaper. If you're a Mac user, I don't think you have a choice. You must buy this one (or buy a PC, but that would be a bit overboard). All in all, I would highly recommend buying a Graph Link. Make sure you have an available serial port (at least for the Windows cable), plug the cable in and go. Have fun playing Tetris. :-)

A fabulous piece of technological perfection!
The TI graph link has become an invaluable tool for superheroes and non-superheroes alike. It easy to use, large, and convenient for the super-nerd on the go, plus chicks love it! You can even pretend that it's a tricorder and scan for alien life forms. Now how many graph-links on the market can do that? If you are a highly dweeby college student who enjoys science fiction, this is the graph-link for you.
