I love Unicorn Beetle cases from Supcase. I had one on my Google Nexus 6, and the phone is still fully functional over four years after I bought it. I credit these cases with it's survival. I don't drop my phones very often, but when I do, I don't like to worry that I'm gonna be out hundreds of dollars on a new one. These cases are sturdy and thick enough they give me that luxury.After my experience with the undying Nexus 6, I decided to only buy phones that I could get a Unicorn Beetle case for. That lead me to the A50. It's also still in great shape for having been protected by this case.I will admit, these cases aren't exactly pretty, but a good cell phone is an investment. You want that investment to pay off for at least a few years, and that will only happen if you properly protect it. These cases give (I hate this expression, but in this case it's appropriate) peace of mine.There are issues, however. The built in screen protector is nice and easy to clean, but can negatively effect the fingerprint reader. However, the fingerprint reader in the A50 is notoriously finnicky, so I can't dock it a star for that. The screen protector also tends to get moisture underneath it, which necessitates cleaning because it can leave a little grime under the protector. However, it's easy enough to clean up. Pop the case off and wipe the screen and the protector, inside and out, with a damp microfiber cloth. Not rocket science. You'll also want to wipe down the phone and the interior of the case here and there, as it can accrue dirt over time that can damage the finish on the phone. That's true of any case, however.I highly recommend these cases to anyone looking for a case that isn't sexy, but that will protect what's inside it. Even a more budget-friendly option like the A50 looks better with an intact screen, and I've never had a broken screen in a phone protected by one of these cases.

I had no real issues putting it on or removing it. While it does take some effort, it shows that it is securely attached. I have no issues with fingerprint reading. The only negative would be getting the stand out for use. THAT is contrary! I really don't even bother with it now but I am sure that it would become easier after some usage. I have put it through it's paces on a few occasions and takes the hit. I do believe that the phone has fallen flat on concrete once and all is good still. Even after the other drops on concrete.The color is good and the plastic is not overly smooth/slippery. The rubber is more slippery than I would like but it IS durable. That seems to be the tradeoff with rubber...Overall: Recommend

The media could not be loaded. I love this case. I had my first one for about a year. However, in the last few months before I ordered a new one, the plastic screen protector was so scratched it was totally distracting and made using my phone more challenging. So for this one, I did what many others did. I cut out the plastic screen protector and put a glass screen protector directly on my phone. Workes like a charm. The drawback is it may not be waterproof anymore. But most of my problems come from dropping my phone on concrete and tile floors, so I am not as concerned about water. So far the outside casing is GREAT. My phone has survived all kinds of drops, falls, flights through space, and collisions with Earth. Thank you for a reasonably priced option to ensure the longevity of my phone.

This is my 5th Unicorn Beetle case, meaning I have 5 devices, all with UB cases on because that's how good they are! When you're number one concern is protect for your devices, UB cases have never one failed me and I'm a complete klutz and drop my phone or tablet more than any person should. If your second concern is decorativeness, they only have 3 colors to choose from, one of them being all black.I dont care too much about the piece on the back that opens into a kick stand for your phone but it does work for that purpose. However it is VERY difficult to open and keep in mind that it is just a thinner piece of plastic and of course it is eventually going to break. The case is durable in terms of keeping your phone safe. The stand has no function for protection towards the phone, please keep that in mind.Everything matches up, phone buttons, speakers and charging ports. This case literary fits your phone "liiiikkeee aahh glooovveeee" (Ace Ventura? Anyone? Ok.)And yes, the built-in screen saver will eventually get a bit scratched up and they are visable when the screen is off but disappear when screen is on.

Good fit that gives an added layer of protection. It is made with material that seems very durable.
