Performed flawlessly
I was building newel posts along with a staircase and the newel posts were based on a design from about 100 years ago. The pattern were a series of pyramids that had a pitch of 120 degrees. The finished product was identical in every aspect to the original design. I could not be more pleased with the Magnate bit. I own about 25 Magnate bits since I also own a Legacy Mill and the price is right and the edges staying sharp forever... or so it seems to be a goal of Magnate. I highly recommend this bit and recommend buying Magnate bits when ever possible... just as a disclaimer... no, I do not work for the company nor have any direct connection with Magnate...

the carbide edge is great for MDF
This is a hard to find bit. Price is reasonable, the carbide edge is great for MDF. Makes clean flawless edges using a CNC router with a 2-1/4 HP spindle feeding at 30 ipm @ 24,000 rpm. Expedited shipping to Canada was expensive but I needed them fast.

Skeptical at first
I was skeptical of Magnate bits for CNC use when I first started utilizing their cutters. However, I have tormented a few of them on various substrates and I have been rather pleased with their cut quality. From Solid Surface Signage to 400lb log bench adds made from sappy beetle kill pine these cutters have witnessed some harsh conditions in my shop. Sure, I have Amana bits that I stick to with the replaceable knives, they have their particular cutting applications in my shop. However, my Magnate cutters have been more work than they have lately. I received information with my first 120 Degree cutter from them on their different CNC applications and I was rather pleased with their documentation. I have yet to receive any documentation like that from any other tooling vender in my market - I take that to be rather professional and that is the level of work I desire and my clients expect from my company.

Router Bit 120 Deg.
Router bit came in a nice plastic reusable box. The cutting bit had a coating and oiled finish as I would expect from a fine tool. Looks like very good quality, can't wait to try it out.
