These fitted sheets save a lot of trouble if you want to protect your expensive mattress.They come in packs of one and I bought the double size. It's made of Terry towelling with polyurethane backing. It's got fitted edges so it goes completely over the mattress.My sons cat is poorly and has started weeing on his bed. His girlfriend is constantly changing the bed and it's making her miserable. They only have a tiny house and she won't go downstairs so can't shut the bedroom door. This is the answer to their troubles.It fitted perfectly on their double bed. and protected their mattress at last. My son doesn't like any bedding that gets hot and he was fine on this and there was no rustling at all.It's fairly thin but they all appear to be the same thickness as I have one of a different brand. The Terry towelling gets wet obviously but it didn't soak through before they discovered it.I've also bought a duvet protector so hopefully the constant bed changing can stop.It's really good value for money and I've got no complaints whatsoever. A recommended purchase.

Having received my protector I re-read the reviews and the item description again on Amazon after fitting it on my bed. I'm not sure exactly what it means by saying in the description it is extra deep waterproof, the protector is really only an enhanced bedsheet, it has a top covering of terry toweling which is fine, although, not exactly thick, and it has a thin plastic sheet/coating on the inside, which is not in my opinion thick enough for any regular bed wetters, etc. If you have that problem then you really need to invest in a brolly sheet, or, something similar, for incontinence sufferers of all ages.I am recovering from Bowel Cancer surgery, I have 2 Stomas, my Urostomy pouch sometimes comes adrift from my body, especially, in the long hot Summer month nights when I'm in bed, any spillage is stopped from going through onto my mattrass by a brolly sheet, I don't think this mattrass protector is sufficient enough to do the job on its own.Anyway, however, I will personally give this protector 5 stars as it does the job of keeping my mattrass free from dirt and dust. It has huge elasticated side and end tabs that slide very easily over my mattrass, which is at least 7 inches thick deep, so, it is quite flexible, it is nice and soft and certainly doesn't make any scrunchy noises, so, it's perfect for me, and at only about £8 is excellent value for money, one of the best I could find on Amazon.

It does what it needs to. Only thing is that it is noisy

My daughter was coming out of nappies at night and kept going through the sheets and the old mattress protector this one has not gone through at all and don't hold the smell either it's amazing

This arrived promptly and is of a good feeling fabric quality, however when my little boy had an ‘accident’ the other night some had still seeped through to his mattress, so not 100% waterproof unfortunately
