My second winch purchased through Amazon or a vendor on the same. Arrived without damage and with all parts. Installed and it works as advertised. Also saved versus those sold through online and brick & mortar offroad shops. Strongly recommended and would buy again.

The winch is awesome and does the trick. It has helped me self-recover multiple times and has assisted with recovering other vehicles when they need it. I have no complaints as of yet and have owned it since October of 2020. My winch controller battery died recently and luckily I had a flashlight with the same battery and was able to extract myself with that. This winch should have come with a cable to avoid the issue with wireless remote functioning though, albeit my bad for not ensuring the cable was in the box when it first arrived, it did not. I reached out to Warn as instructed by Amazon and they said that even though it is sold in the Warn store ON Amazon, they do not sell THROUGH Amazon . . . okay? Warn’s solution = sell me another $100 winch remote with cable because they can’t sell the cable separately. What a racket. This will make me think twice before purchasing from Warn again. Small issue, but very inconvenient and the proposed solution was even worse.

Easy install on 2nd gen Tacoma. Did not need to relocate the control unit.

Looks good and feels and sounds good when rolling it out and in, haven't used it when needed but have used it to stretch the cable so far

Well, I bought this for my Toyota Prado 90, my vehicle weights around 2 tons with all mods an 35 inch tires. I've tested this winch when my car stuck on an 30-40 degree incline in 70cm deep snow, my tires were useless, there was no grip at all, even though I have locking differentials and all the goodies I could use were put in to work (I consider myself an experienced off road driver) so don't ask me about the necessary equipment, nothing helped, and only after I've tried everything I decided to pull out the Joker :D This winch pulled my car through the snow cleaning up the snow trap with the weight of my car (Again: tires were useless) I can recommend this winch if you want a dependable secret weapon in your arsenal )) Thank you Specialty Truck and Auto team for supplying great equipment!

In the image I show the WARN VR EVO 10. Well the top of the control box anyhow. I was pleasantly surprised that the controller was both wired and wireless. Less happy that it wasn’t rechargeable. Now I have to think about carrying batteries. But the wireless worked well. Before you install, you need to find the serial number and write it down or take a picture. If you don’t, you won’t be able to get to it afterward for registration. The serial number needs to be placed when you can find it any time. But notice how low the winch sits. It is in the winch cradle and it weren’t for the fair lead you wouldn’t even notice there was a winch. I will one day replace the fairlead with one having black rollers but that is a cost metric issue and has no relationship to the fact that this is a very good winch. I could have chosen a rope winch but I deal with rocks and rocks don’t play well with ropes. So I stuck to what I know and went with steel. There are pros and cons to either choice so think about it before buying your winch. This VR EVO is a great winch for my needs. True low profile stance looks great. You can move the control box, depending on your need but for me I didn’t need to do anything other than tighten the bolts and run the wires. This is my 3rd WARN winch. I won’t consider any other manufacturer when it comes to keeping me safe.

Really clean to install as the wires are bundled nice compared to other makes, the wireless remote was the icing on the cake.

Have used several times in the last year, no issues. There is a recall on the remote as it may not be sealed, mine was OK, but it is always kept in the cab of the truck.
