Stiff hair, long neck
Unlike Uhura, Spock has some decent mobility in the joints; his knees and elbows move along with the normal motion of the shoulders and hips. However, as others have noted, his hair is most unfortunate in how plastered it is to his head. With the amount of shellac they appear to have put on the hair it may as well have been molded plastic. At least then it could have been molded away from his pointy ears instead of hiding them. Also; his neck is oddly long; it almost looks like his neck is backwards; but even turned around his neck is just strangely too-much-neck. Still; he has decent mobility and the outfit is okay (though don't remove those wee plastic tags holding that cowl into the neck of the shirt or it will quickly get lost).

Beam me up, Scottie!
Before writing this review, I have to qualify it by stating I am a Star Trek fan from back when the original series was playing on television. I love Star Trek in all of its incarnations, from cheesy cardboard sets of the classics to the high-tech, visually stimulating reboot. Okay ... there ... I said it! I'm a biased reviewer! That being said, Santa Claus (aka ... me) brought all three Barbie/Trek dolls to my 9-year-old in his warp-drive-propelled transporter-sleigh and I'm happy to say she's still enjoying playing with her Trekkie dolls four months after Christmas has come and gone. Which is unfortunate. I haven't been able to pry my handsome Spock doll out of her grasping little fingers so -I- can play with him. I'm looking forward to the day she grows bored with them so -I- can play! Until then, I'll just have to seek out new doll-forms to feed my Star Trek obsession. The verdict ... buy.

I Have Been, and Shall Always Be Disappointed by This Doll
My Star Trek-loving 11 year old just received this doll and is pretty disappointed. She says, for one, it looks nothing like Zachary Quinto. (Personally, I think it looks like a cheap knock-off by a company that was trying not to violate some copyright.) Also, my daughter and I agree, the hair is weirdly stiff and sticks out from the head in an unforgivable way. To make matters worse, Spock's neck is bizarrely long and his shirt seems too large on shoulders that are already inexplicably wide. To add insult to injury, he's not even doing his "live long and prosper" hand gesture, which is a bummer. We've posted a few pictures and my daughter just wants to point out that "the doll looks worse in person" so don't be fooled by her awesome Spock ears! Instead of buying this cheesy doll, we recommend that Spock lovers buy the 50th anniversary (Leonard Nimoy) Barbie doll, because that one is the spitting image of the actor. My daughter received it yesterday and LOVES it!

Cool character
I like Zachary as Dr.Spock as it suited him - nice uniform , boots, phaser and telecom too bad that his hands can not hold them.
