I noticed in the picture at the top of the fret board is like a half of a fret does that affect the playing or pitch of different chords?

It is called a zero fret. It is used by some uke manufacturers to give a good action and more accurate intonation on plastic ukes. Fleas and Flukes also use this, and I think the Makala Waterman as well.

Is the bridge supposed to pull away from the body or is mine about to break???

I think it’s about to break. I would get some gorilla glue. Glue it down then get a huge clam from Home Depot to hold it down overnight while it dries.
