Never thought I'd get so excited about little plastic parts but I learned an interesting lesson with them. We have two kitchen faucets, a Moen and one from Ikea. Our Moen has been great but recently started to spray water everywhere as the aerator had clogged from water deposits. The Ikea is good too, but the water flow has always been so low that it takes a minute or two to fill a pot of water for pasta, and doesn't really even have enough flow to wash vegetables or other common tasks, so we barely use it. To fix the Moen I went to our local hardware store and got an aerator replacement, thinking they were all the same. It actually made the problem worse, water flow was still poor and the spray still went everywhere. After a bunch of research I got these. I think the trick is that they are basically high flow aerators, they both allow more water through them, and the water is better "aligned" if that makes any sense, like it flows without a lot of "fuzz". Many of these aerators deliberately slow the water flow in the name of saving water (which can be a great/necessary idea in some cases), or deliberately make the water more "fuzzy", which may make sense in some situations, like a bathroom faucet. But for me, I wanted maximum flow. These suckers fixed our Moen faucet completely, now the flow is higher than it was, the spray is perfect, and all of the controls (stream/spray and pause) work as well as before. Even more interestingly, the Ikea faucet now works way better than when we got it. The flow is stronger and better for all tasks. Installation was very simple, basically just unscrew the cap at the end of the faucet (I was able to do it with my fingers and a piece of paper towel for more friction), and drop in the replacement. The box comes with a bunch of replacement gaskets you just need to choose the right size to match. I changed both of our faucets this morning in literally less than 5 minutes. Let me say that this clearly leads to higher water consumption, if you live in an area where water is short then definitely be aware of this, and we should all be aware of using too much of our natural resources. However water is plentiful where I am, and I would much rather have the extra water to make daily tasks easier.

When I pulled the old aerator from the faucet, the new one did not appear to be the right replacement. Upon researching, measuring, and fiddling around, I installed the new aerator into the housing and, without the gasket, screwed it back on. This seated the aerator into the housing, then I removed the housing and added the correct rubber washer. Screwed it back on, and it works great. It's nice to get some actual water flow from my faucet again. The 4.75 GPM is the answer to my issues.

Had to replace my kitchen faucet after 26 years of good service, sad to see the old one go. Installed a MOEN-Plus suppose to be a good faucet. Problem was it took six second to fill one little coffee mug. Just watering the cats and dogs was a life time ordeal. The side sprayer fared a bit better, by not much. My old faucet would spray and run water at the same time doubling the amount of water coming out. No such luck with this new MOEN-Plus, it’s a well oiled machine with one or the other working, not both. Decided to give these a try. Went from six seconds to two seconds to fill the coffee mug, three times the flow. But now I can at least fill a pot in a timely fashion with out arm muscles giving out during an unwanted endurance test. Package came with washers that slipped into place and worked. Pro: For me at least tree times the volume of water in the same amount of time. Also hot water to faucet in much shorter amount of time. Con: Not sure what to do with all the extra aerators. I guess change them out instead of back-flushing them. Afterthoughts: For those of us not living in a arid environment with strict laws governing water conservation, this is the way to go. Sure is a time saver.

These are great. I always had to rebuild custom aerators from parts, every time I moved or had an apartment inspection replace mine. (I am a responsible adult & free human being; I should not have to wait several minutes to fill a pot of water.) This pack is wonderful; the aerators are the common size & it has 2 types of washers to fit either style of spout. Well worth it!
