Awesome ice packs!
Living in a rural area without accessibility to dry ice, I took a chance on ordering these large Cooler Shock Ice Packs for a 132 qt cooler packed full of frozen meat to travel a minimum of 3 days in a car. After prepping them as directed, I froze the ice packs for 4 days to be assured they were completely frozen. Upon arrival at our destination 4 days later (I never opened the cooler during the trip), I opened the cooler to discover the meat was still entirely frozen with no hint of thawing. I cannot tell you how extremely happy I am. Only other prep work I did was wrap the entire cooler in a heavy comfort to protect against sun and heat exposure as we were traveling into a warmer climate. After unloading meat, I placed the packs back into the cooler which was put into a storage shed. After a couple days, I figured I better open the cooler and dry the inside of it to prevent any mold or mildew from the thawing ice packs. They were still froze!Remember to freeze the packs completely and use appropriate quantity of them for cooler size. I cannot comment on longevity as this is the first time I used them. But they held up great during out trip.

Saved me money and the hassle
Definitely saved me money and the hassle of buying ice before every trip. They perform extremely well, sometimes to well. I use these on 1-6 day trips with a 65 quart lifetime cooler. The cooler you choose will play a big role in how long these will last. For 1-3 day trips I line the sides with 6 hard packs. My meat will stay frozen for 2 days (if frozen prior), and will freeze water and coffee creamer from its liquid state up to 2 days. If youโre storing arugula, spinach, onions it will freeze. Havenโt had any carbonated alcohol or soft drink cans burst inside the cooler; just ice cold beer. For 3-6 day trips I will freeze a block of ice 3x12 inches and keep it at the bottom to help extend the life of these packs. This will keep everything very cold the entire time with very minimal water at the bottom. I despise soggy waterlogged food. I unscrew my coolers drain and let the water drip out each day. Thereโs not much. By the time Iโm unpacking my cooler, thereโs still block ice at the bottom and everything is still very cold.I keep them in my freezer at all times because I use them a lot and take last minute weekend trips. You can keep them unfrozen in storage after you set them up and put them in the freezer 48 hours before usage.Itโs not rocket science setting them up. Donโt use cold water, read the directions, measure out your water, Use the funnel supplied and take your time setting these up.

COLD!!!
Bought the three pack of these freezer ice packs. Drove from MA to NC with three of these in a large cooler, along with one bag of ice. When we arrived in NC everything was COLD!! The ice hadnโt melted, and some single serve ice cream products were still frozen! We DO NOT have a Yeti. The cooler we have is a regular Coleman cooler. We will use these ice packs for as long as they last, then buy more!

Worth it
These are perfect for a medium large cooler. They really stay frozen for a very long time. Filled up the cooler with these and a bag of ice. Drove from Cincinnati Ohio all the way to Panama City, Florida and ice packs were still frozen even in the June heat. Super easy to use and they did free solid within 24 hours in a deep freeze. They fit my igloo 52 quart perfect.

Amazing!!
Decided to try these for a week long camping trip. Figured if I had to go down the mountain to buy ice then so be it. These packs did so well that our cooler stayed cold for the entire trip! I have a 90qt Igloo Max Cold which is supposed to keep stuff cold for 5 days anyway but the ice usually melts and itโs closer to 3 days. I used 5 of these packs (4 spread along the sides and 1 on top) and then used a small amount of ice to fill in the holes.Temperature was between 80-85 during the day and 60โs at night but the cooler was in a metal bear box which Iโm sure was hotter than the outside temp. After 3 nights the ice I had put in was still frozen solid and the meat I had in the cooler (which was frozen to begin with) was still frozen. The packs did amazing and lasted us until the last day (5 days and 5 nights). The last day was probably as long as they could go as I could tell everything wasnโt as cold but they definitely worked like they were supposed to and I will be buying a few more for future trips.

Absolutely as advertised!
These are great! As usual, we always run out of space in our fridge at Thanksgiving, so instrad of offloading all out bottles stuff into coolers and running out to get more ice as need all the time, we tried these out. Threw them in the freezer for 48 hours, lined our big chest cooler with them and loaded it up. These lasted for four days, kept all the drinkables chilled just right. And, no soaking wet bottles! Getโem while you can!

Donโt stay cold.
They just donโt stay cold long. Staying at 18 degrees for days is a flat out lie. This donโt even last 24hrs. I used them in a cooler designed to keep ice for 4 days.Filled it up with cold beer and these 3 packs.. Next day beer is cool and they were warm.

They leak
As far as temperature goes, they do the trick, however 1 of the 3 started leaking from the lid, and I checked thoroughly that it was screwed on properly so it was not that. Otherwise it works well enough, can't say I'd get another since the one pack will slowly leak out.

Love this brand but..
I really do love this brand ice packs. I have a total of 10 now. Like them so much, i have recommended them to other that have bought them. My others are the original mylar material type ones. They have help up surprisingly well for over 5 years of use. When, I got a new cooler backpack, I wanted something a little more rigid and was very excited to see cooler shock offer them. I filled all three per the directions and squeezed the air out before the first freeze. Two froze perfectly but for some reason, one froze with a big bulge that doesn't want to go away. Disappointed in the one but expect solid performance from the other two.

Only lasts 12 hours at the most
Does not stay very cold for longer than 12 hours individually. If you put two together, youโll get 24 hours of cold, however. But not this 48 hours that they are advertising. Not ever.
