Great, reliable small clamps
I love these clamps. Simple, reliable, just the right size. If you haven't used them before, they take a tiny bit of getting used to (they use a type of friction/tooth grab for the jaw to "set" on the bar), but after the first time, you pretty much get the hang of them. After that, they're a no-brainer. Oh, and did I mention they CLAMP solidly? No slip, no fuss, and they hold really well. I tried similar clamps from Rockler (I got a 4 pack for a good price as a deal), but they quickly proved inferior. The clamp stopped catching along the bar, which turned them into little more than weirdly-shaped paper weights in terms of utility. I've only had one of the over a dozen Bessey's of this style I own do something similar, and it still works with a little persistence. By comparison, 3 out of the 4 Rocklers have ended up in the trash after only six months. Basically, you can't beat Bessey.

Good, solid clamps for, ah, CLAMPING!
Good proven woodworking clamps at a fair price! If you plan on making cabinets, bookcases, and the like, clamps are vital for glue ups, assembly. Bessey, Pony, etc. are all proven performers.

NIce little woodworking clamp, but won't work on everything
I bought a 24in Bessey clamp years ago for some DIY woodworking projects, and it has often proved indispensable for the task at hand. When I bought this smaller one I thought I'd be getting the same design in a shorter format, but I should have looked closer at the picture. The longer clamp had a ratcheting mechanism and a lock, so you could release the lock first, move the jaw part along the serrated bar, lock it as close as possible to the intended position, and then finally use the screw part to tighten things further once everything was in place. This smaller clamp does not actually have a lock and release mechanism in the jaw, and instead it seems to rely on pressure/friction to "click" into the serrated bar. In other words, once enough pressure is applied by the screw part, the jaw will bend a few degrees and click into whatever is the closest notch on the serrated bar. To its credit this does work and can be quite strong at that, but it is a simpler mechanism and it's not quite as versatile as what I was hoping for.

Greatest little clamps
I had four of these. Bought two more they are so great. Small enough to fit almost anywhere and grip very, very well. Light weight and easy to use. No workshop should be without them.

Slim, versatile, surprisingly powerful. My most used clamp
Have bought this clamp repeatedly just because it's SO handy! The best feature of this clamp to me is how slim the metal parts are on the jaws, making it fit easily in small and tight areas. Additionally, they can really CRANK down and provide a ton of force if needed. Reach is small, <4", but perfect for the vast majority of small projects without any extra bulk or weight. I need like ten more of these ASAP!

One out of four didn’t work.
I ordered 4 of these clamps three work well. However one will not lock on the bar. This one is useless. The ones that do work are small but very handy for many uses. Just wish they all worked correctly.
