As with all Mohawk finishing products, this one is a jewel.
Mohawk wool lube does a great job of lubricating steel wool to bring any finish to an even satin sheen. it is not messy, cleans up easily too. It's a great tool for woodworking and woodturning.

Nice wet sanding lube
I tried this with steel wool to rub out a finish. My steel wool results were not great with 0000 wool - scratches too visible. However, I used a dab of this with water and 1500 grit sand paper, just dribbling the solution along my polyurethane table top, and it worked great - very uniform wet sanding. I did have one application that was very uneven sanding, but I came to realize that I had used too much of the wool lube and that caused the sandpaper to glide instead of cutting/sanding. I get that you can use various detergents to do wet sanding, but this worked great for me, and I had never had it look good before. I followed up the 1500 grit wet sand with the 4F pumice and paraffin oil, and then rottenstone and paraffin oil.

This gives an amazing smooth feel to the walnut headboard I'm building.
Loved the smooth as glass finish on the walnut. This steel wool lube is just that. It allows the steel wool to "cut" and smooth the surface without leaving fine scratch marks. Very happy with it. I don't know what the proprietary formula is of the lube but it works as intended.

Different
Been woodworking a long time and never saw this stuff until a recent u-tube video. Tried it once, was ok. Need a little more time to see what I think. Mohawk stuff is usually good stuff

Nice, hand-rubbed finish
Not sure if this is any different than Murphys wood cleaner but it serves it's purpose for a hand-rubbed finish. Applied with #0000 steel wool and my wood shelf cane out nice. Not a necessary product but takes it up a notch.

Works very well with steel wool for refininishing.
Works great with 0000 steel wool for final refinishing of my drawing table. The results are an incredibly smooth, even, matte surface on the final coat of varnish.

Wool lube brings out the best finish with Tung oil
I applied eight coats of waterlox to a cherry dining room table. It made a very clear high gloss finish that really made the grain pop. I rubbed it out very lightly with wool lube liquid and a 0000 steel wool pad dipped in water. After two light passes I have a very uniform satin finish that still show the grain. Very pleased with wool lube.

Not the results that you see on YouTube
I bought the product after watching the YouTube recommendation video. It does give good results, but not as good as I expected.
