Perugina Glacia Mint Candy 2.2 lb (35 ounces/ 1 kilo) bag

When I went to a small village in Italy the restaurants had these mints. After a search I found them and have been ordering them ever since. The right amount of minty freshness without being too sweet. What a treat!

If you like mint candy, you will love this mint. If you are not a fan of mint candy, you will like this mint candy. Glacia Mints are cool and refreshing with just the right amount of mint together with a wonderful sweetness and the coolness lingers for a while after the candy is gone.Each mint is approximately 1 1/4 inches hard candy (no soft center). Each mint is wrapped in its own wrapper with and additional inner liner.As pricing goes, $19.98 for a 2.2 lb. bag of these mints is a bit pricey at over $9.00 a pound. If you are trying them for the first time and aren't sure you'll like them, it's worth the cost. On the other hand, a 6.6 lb. bag at $36.71 is a better buy at $5.60 a pound.

I first tasted these while on a cruise ship, and was so impressed that I always took a handful with me after a meal. It is the best hard candy mint that I have ever tasted.I was very pleasantly surprised to see these for sale on Amazon, as I instantly recognized the picture of the mint after several years. I learned that it is from Italy, which explains the fine craftsmanship. I ordered some and realized again why I thought it was the best mint I have ever tasted.One thing that I really like about the hard mint is that it seems designed to disintegrate in your mouth if chewed, which helps avoid breaking any dental caps.Best mint taste ever.

LOVE THESE MINTS

This is quite a large mint; we wish they were 1/2 or 2/3 the size. It takes quite a while to dissolve in your mouth; not too good during conversation or in a meeting!

I use this mint for "guests" that come in my office or we have meetings with a few people - you know - some people need it. :-)Some people have hesitated to pick it - assuming that it's candy (instead of mint) --- my suggestion is to seal each end of the wrapping, instead of having the twisted ends...it would change the perception.I like the light, but effective mint flavor of this candy --- and it does not have the "stuck on your tongue" film after it's gone.I've also used this candy when I feel a bit motion sick while in a plane --- it is soothing.One bag lasts me about 2 months --- stash in my purse and office. Will definitely order some more.

Have been buying these for years, for myself and friends. We all agree, the best mints on the market.

These taste different from Perugina Glacia mints we have ordered in the past from other vendors-- mint flavour less delicate, etc. Upon closer inspection, the individual packaging does not have the brand name label on it. Just says "Glacia." They do not taste bad, they're just not authentic.
