I was taking a hiking class for college and Repel was a recommendation. As I had never hiked before, I wanted to make sure I had everything possible for "protection". First hike, I was going deep in the hiking trails. I completely covered myself and my clothes. At the end of a 4 mile hike, I had no ticks and no mosquito bites (it does not work on horseflies so get something else if needed). I felt this product worked very well. It did not smell weird or leave a sticky feeling on my skin. I did this hike on one of the hottest days we have had so far and even sweating, I felt that I had great protection. My second hike I actually had a tick on my sock but it was not going anywhere. I sat and watched it for a few. I flicked it off with a stick and went on my way for the rest of my 8 mile hike. This is a product that I will be keeping on hand in case I decide to go to more exploring. I definitely recommend.

Spray it on all over and then into the woods to hunt all day. come out ten hours later and not one tick on me. I will knock on wood after saying that. Works great.

For repelling mosquitoes, I believe this works as good as deet- you just have to apply it more often. It won't melt plastic or destroy your optics the way deet will. That may be something to consider if you're worried about a product safety. Be aware that this product is oily and will make you oily as well.For black flies/ buffalo gnats, I had tried EVERYTHING. This has been the only thing I have found to keep them from biting. While nothing will repel black flies in the same way that deet repels mosquitoes, this will at least keep you from getting those painful, itchy bites.

This is a must for us as we live in tickville, as it seems. We have a can for every rig we own and several in the house. Now it says it is unscented but whenever I spray it on the family says it smells like overripe oranges. Not a bad smell at all compared to other brands. I have had no issues and rarely find a tick on when we use it. We can spray it on in the morning and it is good to go

Living in the coastal southeast, we are constantly battling mosquitos. This repellant worked great. I like that it is not greasy. It doesn't really smell bad, but when you first spray it, there is a strong propellant smell that dissipates quickly - recommend applying it outdoors due to that. Once applied, it did a great job of keeping the mosquitos away. No bites! Seems to last several hours. for the price its a quality product.

Very happy with this product. It doesn't amazing job and it has good staying power even when you're hot and sweaty you will notice that flying the critters and critters on the ground are avoiding you like the plague and that's exactly what you want. I will definitely buy this again and my husband's an avid Walker and he does a lot of that walking through parks where there are less people and he can social distance but you can social distance on a bench from ticks and creepy crawly things that can cause you great bodily harm. With this spray that's never going to happen and coming from someone who also has had skin issues from other products that has not happened with this one for either me or my husband. It really is the brand to buy and I don't think I'll go back to using products like off and the other commonly known brands now that I know about repel. I hope this helps you because it's definitely helped us and we have made the decision that again this is to go to product. The price point is fine but the results after using this are really the reason to go and buy this. I am so happy I took a chance on it and there's no looking back.

Repels mosquitos better than ticks.

You can spray this stuff on your face, on your clothing & not feel like a toxic waste dump. I've used it for ticks while kayaking the Mississippi & Missouri Rivers, bicycle touring 3,500 miles last summer and hundreds of nights camping. Friends & I have used it for ticks, mosquitoes & noseeums. It's not perfect but it works in some horrible conditions. While kayaking, I keep it behind my seat. If a black fly gets in the cockpit and bites your legs, one blast gets the ba**** to fly out. I spray my legs when setting up camp almost immediately after getting out of a kayak or off a bike. I did manage to get Lyme Disease last summer from a tick bite on the side of my head while sleeping in the tent. That tick got into the tent from laying stuff on grass before putting it in the tent, in the rain. Whatever you're doing, load your stuff directly into your tent and don't set it on the ground. Antibiotics killed the Lyme Disease! Be careful out there. This tick spray can help keep you safe.
