Can this be used in place of beeswax for making a waxed cotton wrap?

I do use this wax in place of bees wax for those who have allergies but I have to soften it quite a bit with oils like olive and Vitamin E. This wax is quite hard and does not melt easily. For one TBSP of this wax I needed just about 1 and 1/2 TBSP of oils to soften it up enough for lip balm. I'm not sure how well this would work for a cotton wrap. You might want to research about carnauba wax to see if that might work a little better. I don't think carnauba wax is as hard and the candelillia wax. I hope this is helpful to you.

Can this be used as a hard wax for armpits?

I use beeswax as part of my lip balms and deodorants, so I would say you can use this too. When I used it for a beeswax substitute in lip balms, I used half the amount I would have used for the beeswax. It’s much harder.

How is this wax extracted? Is sulfuric acid used?

If its sourcing and extraction are not stated on the packaging and the distributor feigns ignorance, it’s likely it uses sulfuric acid and exploitive labor to extract.

Does this have a strong smell? I am looking for an alternative to beeswax as I am not the most fond of the chemically smell of beeswax.

I never thought beeswax to have a chemically scent. Candelilla wax has a scent but not distracting enough to interfere with lip balms or deodorants. I make and sell vegan bodycare products and I've been happy with this brand. Its the only brand I buy.
