Can you nse it for the side of your front door?

I used mine on my closet doors. I’m sure you can use it on a front door. It should stick to the interior of the front door.

Will this adhere and stay in place on metal storm door on lanai (high humidity/wide range temperatures exposure)?

Yes, I believe the adhesive is very strong. You can not reposition the draft stopper once you have placed it on.
