Easy to set up
Easy to set up. The outdoor sensor battery compartment requires a small Phillips screwdriver to open. Don't lose BemiDirect's Easy Setup Guide; the manufacturer's "Instruction Manual" would be much harder to use.BemiDirect responded quickly to a couple of questions I emailed. Both the indoor and outdoor units have built-in stands. I will probably mount the outdoor sensor permanently in a shaded spot, and keep the indoor display on the breakfast bar, but it's handy to be able to just stand the outdoor sensor in different locations to see which works best.No connectivity problems at ~ 20' - 25'. I have not made any maximum distance tests. The remote sensors are not currently available separately, so you can't monitor the outdoor temperature, and, say, the wine cellar on one display via the three radio channels. However, I don't see any reason you couldn't have one display in the kitchen and one in your bedroom, with an outdoor sensor on one channel and one in the baby's room on another.I'm not sure what the weather forecast icons measure. There's no mention of a barometer, so maybe it's a combination of temperature and humidity. They do seem to be mostly correct.Anyway, I bought the unit to be an indoor/outdoor thermometer, so everything else is just added bells and whistles. The temperatures track very closely with an old mercury thermometer, so I have what I was looking for!

Finally an indoor/outdoor temperature station that actually works as advertised!
The packaging is plain and no-frills, but who cares when the item works so well! Setup was easy & intuitive for me, but there is a cheat sheet provided which helps (especially for the 12/24hr setting).I made a hook for the remote sensor and hung it outside in our temporary carport, less than 100 feet from the base, and it works flawlessly. The signal has never dropped - unlike other, cheaper units I've tried. I don't use the alarm function but it's nice to know it's there if needed. The contrast on the unit is such that you can see the display on the base unit better when it is at eye-level or above. Looking down on the display makes it look somewhat washed out/low contrast. Because of this, I mounted it on the side of one of our kitchen cabinets.I really like this unit, and more importantly, it JUST WORKS WELL. I recommend this product without hesitation.

The A120 is a Good value but the screen is a little hard to read
Good value but the screen is a little hard to read. It seems to be relatively accurate. The updates both locally and remotely are filtered for a slow change. If you were to move a sensor from indoors to outdoors it will take several minutes to finally settle down at the actual temperature. Overall, I feel like I god a good value for the cost. I knocked off a star because the display is a little hard to read at normal angles and the layout seems a little confused. For example, the seconds from the clock are next to the moon phase indicator rather than with the time so it is not obvious that it is seconds till you watch it for a while. The other thing that seemed odd to me is that the clock was more prominent than the temperature. I can't see using this as an alarm clock, but I suspect that it's intended use was an alarm clock. I bought it to monitor my greenhouse temperatures. Best Weather seems like a nice company to do business with. I would buy from them again.

As good as I hoped.
It's fast, easy to read, and accurate when I compared it to a calibrated humidity gauge. You can select from different languages for the day of the week, which is pretty nice. The directions are a 4 out of 5 I'd say, but still very good. The remote unit seems to have the range I was looking for. It shoots across my yard in through the window easily. I definitely appreciate the quality for the price, considering how the Accurite gauges are a bit underwhelming. Like many LCD displays you may be familiar with, this is limited to certain viewing angles before the numbers start to fade out. It's clearly visible straight at eye level and from above, the left, or the right by as much as 60 degrees. So that's great. The fading occurs on this model if you tilt it away so your eyes are below it, which might happen if you tilt it back on it's stand and place it up too high. Both the main and remote take 2 x AAA batteries each. So you'll need 4 batteries in total that are not included. The company very kindly emailed me in advance of the item arriving and mentioned that, for which I'm grateful. After I received the item, they contacted me again to be sure I was happy with the product. While these things may be automated, the extra bit of customer service is really 5 stars. Even though I can't comment on the longevity or durability of the remote, I can see why this item was a #1 best seller on Amazon in late 2015.

A nice unit that's working well so far
It's not been up and running too terribly long so I can't speak to longevity but....So far, I really like this unit. It was easy to set up and it looks as though the sellers have added their own instructions in with the manufacturer's. The display is large but still small enough to fit on my desk. The four screws to access the battery cover on the remote unit are tiny and seem excessive. But considering this is the outdoor remote, it speaks of additional attention to detail in the design and manufacturing process. I keep the remote outside my office window, attached to a shade tree, about 70 feet away. I can't speak to the accuracy of the relative humidity gauge but it's nice to have it just as a reference. I think this item represents a great value.
