Not usable in freezing temperatures
would be great for other than freezing weather as instructions say not to use in freezing temperatures. I sent item back because nothing in description said not for freezing weather,but information was in owners manual when i received it. therefore not good for ice fishing !!!

Light. Durable. Dependable. Do NOT stuff this in your dive bag and then submerge your bag to rinse gear. The unit WILL inflate and lead to endless kidding at your expense. I would suggest buying a replacement cartridge when you purchase the vest if the auto-inflate function is important to you. In fact, to Mustang, consider bundling a spare with the vest. The price for the cartridge is excessive, but it IS a necessity.

Good product and good price
Like the other reviewers, I too haven't had the opportunity (or need) to activate the automatic or manual inflation of this vest. I own three different makes/models of these automatic inflation vests and (thankfully) haven't had to go in the water with one on yet. I have one that's reached it's expiry date, so I may try inflating it via the old cartridge when I get a rearming kit.This vest (black and snazzy blue version) is the most comfortable of the three I own, and also happens to be the nicest looking. I like Mustang Survival equipment since the company started in Canada (in British Columbia where I live), and has become the standard, at least in Canada. These vests were once made in Canada (some still are), but are now made in China, just like everything else. The fit and finish look good and I have no reason to believe the quality is anything less than Mustang Survival has been known for.Regards,Mark

Highly recommended. I have a 22' CC I use to fish just offshore. No one wants to wear the tradition life preservers including me so I picked up two of these. My buddy and I wear them from the time we head out to pulling back into the dock. Very comfortable and I feel much safer on the choppy days that toss you around a bit while fishing. Buying two more.

Great color for my pink kayak, but too heavy around the neck!!
This PFD was too heavy on my neck for my small female frame for very long paddles. (117 lbs. 5'4") There is no way to redistribute the weight.

Quality product.
Great product for our use. I wear a PFD constantly while in a boat, even while fishing, as I can't swim. Great peace of mind and pretty comfortable.
