Saved the day and money
Our microwave handle broke off leaving us in a predicament to either buy a new microwave or find a replacement handle. We opted for the latter once we researched and found this product. It was easy enough to install and fit perfect.

Be prepared to take the microwave door apart
The replacement itself is great - way more reasonably priced than what Frigidaire is asking for a factory replacement. However, be warned that you will have to disassemble the actual microwave door and glass to replace the handle. It's a bit of an ordeal but only took less than an hour. This is of no fault of the actual handle, this is just how the microwave itself is built.

Fit perfect
This fit perfect on our microwave took some finagling to get the microwave apart to put it on but it seems to be really sturdy.

FFMV162LSA really hard to install, but good part
This part did not come with instructions.For the FFMV162LSA, you will have to completely take off the back molding AND the metal shielding just to get to the top screw. Ends up being a really painful job. Use a putty knife to get the molding off, take the two screws out on the left, then use quarters and a flathead screwdriver to undo the latches around the metal shielding and insert the quarters to keep them unlatched.Once you have the shielding off its an easy job to put the new screws and handle on and put it all back together.

Extremely Sturdy but hard to install
Installed on my FFMV162LSA. Handle fit perfectly and is metal so much stronger than the original one! Kind of hard to install, you have to pop off the inside plastic casing with a putty knife. Then remove the two screws on the side of door by handle. Then pop off the metal casing. There are a ton of little plastic clips. Using dimes can help hold some of them open while you pop off more. It is helpful to have another person. Once the metal casing is off it is very easy to screw on the new handle and pop all the parts back together.

Price and quality
I have an older microwave/convection oven that still works great. However the plastic door handle broke off. I tried purchasing a new handle from the manufacturer, the price was a third of a new over. Outrageous!!!!! I went to Amazon an simply searched for a new handle using oven microwave name. It cost significantly less and it was made of metal. Got it in a few days. Very happy with price, quality, and service
