It keeps my room nice and cool. I haven't had any issues with it at all. I really feel it is a good value for the money and it doesn't run up the electric bill. I didn't notice it freezing up at all either. It's quiet, I sleep better at night now. The size and the weight are doable because it's performs well! I simply love my purchase!

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The last one I had was the midea, which is around the same price and actually lasted two seasons before the compressor went. I’ve had many Amazon products over the years, so I thought why not especially since the price was so good. This is my first night using it at the time I’m writing this review so I may update it in the future. When I first turned it on, I admit it wasn’t cold at first, and I was a little concerned…. But about 30 seconds later…. Ice ice baby!!! it feels amazing. I can’t talk about the cleaning yet because the filter is brand new, but just like the other ac I had it. It’s very basic you pull out the filter you wash it out in the sink and then you put it back in so I don’t think that’ll be a problem. It did not come with a remote control, which is fine anyway because I hooked it up to an Alexa outlet so whenever I say “Alexa, turn on the air conditioner” it immediately comes on at the setting. I left it previously, and if I say turn it off, it shuts off.. as far as the noise? Honestly, it’s very quiet it reminds me of white noise you know the kind of sound you use for sleeping. This is actually a lot quieter than the other one. I’m really surprised. Amazon basic products are definitely getting better…. But again this is my first night if next year it’s still working and the year after that in the year after that believe me, I’ll update it and make this an even better review but if it breaks in a short amount of time, I’ll update the review either way right now I’m in heaven and I’m going to sleep. Don’t sit there turn it on and be like why isn’t it blowing cold? Give it about a minute, maybe even 2 to 3 minutes but when it starts blowing cold, oh yeah, it gets cold. …

WOW, what a surprised this was. It packs a punch. I read the reviews. I have had this for a few weeks now and use on occasion as we've had weird weather. Some days are 70 and no humidity with high 50's for nights so I don't use but on the 90 degree days and high humidity, it runs all day. It's small size is great as I can pick it up and install myself. Only 30 some pounds. No remote, but I knew that when ordering and don't really care. It's quiet, performs great, gets incredibly cold. After I received and installed in window, I let it sit about 48 hours before using in case during the shipment it was on side or upside down. I wanted the coolant to settle back before using. Great little air conditioner. Happy with it.

A friend and I installed it over the weekend. It does take two people, so keep that in mind. For its size, it cools my bedroom down in no time. In fact, at the low setting it's almost too cold! Not complaining. I'd rather feel a lttle chilled than so hot my skin is melting off the bones. ;) It's not the quietest A/C but neither is it so noisy I reach for earplugs. It fit in the window opening well and looks good there. A medium setting for fan and A/C would have been nice, but it works well enough without it. All in all, a good purchase.

I bought 3 of these units- 2 for myself and one for a friend. My friend's installed mine not quite a month ago. One of mine and my friend's work great. One of mine has never put out that cold of air, but I chalked it up to being in a south facing window. THE WINDOW IS NOT THE PROBLEM. 6:00 this morning, the sun is fully on the East side of my building, and the air coming out of this unit is warmer than on fan. Obviously, it has a coolant leak, and was shipped with one. There was zero damage to any of the shipping boxes.. HOWEVER, this was repackaged like a return. I live in WA a few miles from Canadian/Idaho border. I am almost 2 hours one way, from the nearest town that has anything other than a Post Office and overpriced half empty market, so having it fixed and recharged is out of the question. I took a leap of faith with an Amazon product and got burned. Buyer Beware!!

This is a durable and quiet workhorse of an AC unit. I have used it continuously in both a dry/arid climate and a wet/humid climate with great results. It is a simple design, but has everything you need to run just a fan for outside air, or the cooling unit, with adjustments for both high and low temperatures and speeds. The compact size makes it easy to install in almost any window. I use it primarily for improving my sleep quality, as well as for comfort in my main living area.

Great little AC...cools quickly....of course price is higher than last year, but it's worth it with 90 degrees and muggy monsoons...but I'm very grateful for the rain. I'm 74 and I could maneuver the unit by myself to install... Energy efficiency too... I bought a piece of purple installation to cover window space. Works 👍

I had my handyman install this air conditioner during a heat wave, and he couldn’t stop commenting on how small it was. The unit weighs about 35 pounds, and I don’t think it’s very energy efficient, so I’ll be interested to see what my electric bill looks like this month. On its own, even on the maximum cooling setting, it isn’t powerful enough to cool my 14 ft. × 10 ft. living room. However, adding a fan on medium speed makes a noticeable difference and keeps the room comfortably cold. For the first two days, the unit was surprisingly quiet while running on max. By the third day, though, it became noticeably louder and not as cold. It was hard to sleep at night with the loud noise. It doesn’t seem designed to run continuously on the highest setting for days at a time. I turned it off for a few hours and then switched it back to max because the lower settings were too weak they feel more like a fan than an air conditioner, which matches what another reviewer mentioned. Another reviewer said the unit works well if you turn it on ahead of time with the door closed, and I agree. That advice makes sense, especially for a very small room. I can see it getting icy cold in a closet-sized space, but it’s underpowered for a larger living area. At the $180 price point, I wouldn’t buy it again. The exterior is almost entirely plastic, though the interior components appear to be metal. Since I’m renting, it’ll do the job for now, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone expecting strong cooling performance. Rating: 3/5 stars.

Strong little AC! Keeps my 500sqft mobile home very cool

I'm cooling an entire apartment (maybe 800 sq ft) from the living room. I think if you read between the lines on the 3-star to 4-star reviews (even some of the 2-stars) you'll understand what you are buying. For the price point this is a 5-star unit. My only real mistake is that you have to be delicate with the outside heat sink. They will cut your fingers and bend over easily. Wear gloves and don't touch the soft parts. Still 5-star. My unit is all analogue controls and they work just fine. The first 24-hours was at full blast and the past 2 days it's been 30°C+ outdoors and 20-24°C indoors. Can't complain at all - noise levels are exactly what you'd expect for the price point.

Works perfect! Have had for 3 years now. Still going like a charm! My power didn’t go up very much either.

Bought this in September and used it once. It worked fine, nothing special. Frame was bent and leaking inside the unit when it came and fought with amazon to return it and could not since they wanted me to carry it to a drop off location(no car). Would not recommend buying, poorly made for the price they are asking. Ive had AC units last 10 years with better structure.

Really great, does it's job decently well, not hard to install. It took me a couple hours the first time though, as the fan didn't spin when I turned it on. I fiddled with it and poked the fan a few times, and after a while the fan spun and it has worked since. These units may need more testing before, though I'm not sure the cause.
