No it does not include the CD. It has the Lesson, Theory, Performance and Technique and Artistry books in the set

Yes, there is an app with the music in it. It is just the pieces from the book. I am a piano teacher and when the students forget their books I can simply go to the app and they can read the music on my iPad. They can also play with an accompaniment with adjustable tempo for slower or faster playing if they own the app. With the books I can mark their music to help them practice which I cannot do in the app. I highly recommend this method. The songs are fun and exciting to play with a wonderful progression of learning that covers each concept in all 4 books to reinforce them. I’ve used it for over 20 years and the students still love the music. The accompaniment that the teacher can play with the student really brings the music to life. Of all the methods I’ve used in my 40+ years of teaching, this is by far my favorite!

I’m a dad, looking to teach my 7 yr old piano. I’m musical, but not a pianist. Is this a good set to start with?

Start with the “primer” level. It’s definitely taught in a way that you can teach yourself. I disagree with the other commenter. Children want to learn music between 5-8 when they’re learning language. 7 is not too young. Older than 8 they will start to have a more difficult time.

Great books for kids! Useful for early age to middle school usually

My students work out of these books, they're great. As a teacher, they're super easy to follow along with and structure lessons in a fun way - make sure to play the accompaniment when they're there! Students love that. If you have older students at a similar level to this book but they don't like the 'kid' aspect of it, there's a version that exists for "older students"

It seems like a lot of books for one level, but then again, I'm not the piano teacher! Lol Our piano teacher recommended these books and so far so good. Kids love them and are doing well. As a parent, I definitely can't complain! Books came quickly and in great shape!
